Welcome to The Havablast, a retro-inspired retreat in the heart of North Idaho, where Mid-Century style meets modern amenities for an unforgettable stay.
In addition to the amazing amenities we also offer check in at noon and check out at noon! So if you pay for 5 days, you can actually stay the full 5 days, enjoy almost a full day of vacation on arrival day instead of just a few hours at the end of the day, and not be rushed the day of checkout!
With accommodations for up to 25 guests, The Havablast is perfect for large gatherings, family vacations, retreats, sports teams, youth camp, church groups or group getaways. The centerpiece of the property is the stunning swimming pool, complemented by a built in kiddie pool, and automated pool cover to help create a safe environment for everyone. PLEASE NOTE SWIMMING POOL IS ONLY OPEN MAY-OCTOBER.
The property also boasts a hot tub, sports court with regulation sized pickleball court and 1/2 ct basketball, a grass volleyball court, 2 fire-pit areas, a playground complete with a UFO play structure, an outdoor kitchen, covered poolside seating, numerous picnic and bistro tables, cornhole, spikeball, pingpong, croquet, gunny sacks and numerous outdoor games and activities for old fashioned fun! ALL OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES ARE SUBJECT TO WEATHER CONDITIONS.
The outdoor kitchen is equipped with a gas BBQ, smoker and blackstone, and the nearby dining areas offer plenty of space for outdoor meals with family and friends.
The Pool House /arcade is weather dependent as it doesn’t heat up very well and snow removal can be rough, but usually open March-October. It boasts 1,000 sf and has a poker room, arcade, kids play area, dining tables, mini bar, television and more.
For indoor entertainment, the swanky lounge offers a sleek spot to relax with a drink in hand, a pool table, vintage pinball machines, a bamboo bar, television and shuffleboard, ensuring there's never a dull moment. The family room has ample seating including several beanbag chairs for moving watching and playing games. Numerous board games and puzzles provided will provide additional bonding activities and each gathering space has a record player with vintage LP's that are sure to spark a dance party.
The property renovation was completed in November, so many outdoor amenities do not have updated photos, but we promise that it will knock your socks off!

Your host
We are the Gondo’s! We’ve been married for 23 years and have 6 kids. Ed served 20 years in the US army and Sarah spent many years as a homemaker. We’ve lived all over the country but when Ed retired in 2014, we settled down in Sarah’s hometown of Post Falls.
As the kids got older Sarah successfully started several small businesses; eventually dragging Ed into her entrepreneurial adventures. Now empty nesters, we’ve taken all that we’ve learned by both raising a large family and running small businesses to bring you The Havablast!
The Havablast has been designed for FUN. We hope that you make great memories and spend some time relaxing with those you love!

Why they chose this property
This is the hands down the most unique property in North Idaho! We have worked hard to provide activities that focus on hands on fun rather than electronics and screen time. Although we too, enjoy our fair share of electronics and screen time, this home is a great place to take a bit of a break and pretend it's 1965!
