Great StayWe had a wonderful stay in! The cabin was beautiful, cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The hot tub was definitely a highlight, especially in the evening. The location was great, and the whole place had a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere. The property was exactly as pictured, and the experience was even better than expected. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!
Place was very clean and having DirecTV in every room was a very nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend. They even had a baby gate to put at the top of the stairs which was a very nice touch.
Arrived at night got in hot tub with kiddos and it felt a little off… almost slimy… figured It may be treated water, didn’t worry about it too much. Woke up next day and took a peak under cover, hot tub was green… needless to say, didn’t use the rest of the time. Other than that I loved the place.
We recently stayed at The Squirrel’s Nest in Broken Bow, and it was truly the peaceful escape we were hoping for. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, cozy, and beautifully designed the cabin was. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, but still conveniently close to all the restaurants, shops, and hiking trails Broken Bow has to offer.
Warm and clean! Hot tub was perfect. Used the Fire Pit and it was amazing as well! Plenty of blankets and kitchen was perfect! Might want to look at the grill as it was hard to start and all the burners do not work so could not get it hot enough to cook our steaks..
Finding the cabin was the most difficult part about the whole trip. We made the mistake of veering to the right at the sign indicating the different roads instead of staying to the left. Had we stayed to the left, we'd found the cabin within minutes. But, we went right, and it took us up and up and up. We saw some amazing cabins and views because of our little error though! We eventually turned our way around, backtracked, and found the Squirrels Nest.Check-in was super simple with our code, and we were so happy to discover we had stairs on the inside of the house rather than outside. Once inside, it was beautifully decorated, very clean and quite spacious. There were a couple of negatives in our opinions though. The beds were very firm and you could tell the mattress for the king size room was quite old as there were "ruts" or "grooves" on both sides which made it feel as if there was a bump to roll over if you wanted to lay closer to your spouse/partner. The other negative was the tub/shower. Even though it was quite large and deep, it was difficult to get in and out of and quite slippery with only one little grab bar. Definitely not elderly friendly. Lastly, the TV in the living room was very difficult to turn on, even with the directions provided. We eventually were able to turn it on, but it took several minutes. Other than that, everything else was great. We didn't hear road noises or anything else when inside. It was very quiet and serene.

Kristi, Thank you for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the drive through the new cabin development. I struggle to keep up with directions as everytime I turn around something new is being built or sold and name change, directions change. LOL. The other items you mentioned I will certainly address. Squirrel's Nest is one of my favorite couple cabins, I'm glad you enjoyed it and Thank you for staying with us. We hope to hear from you soon for a repeat trip to Hochatown. Janet
