Ideal place if you want peace and quiet Beautiful views loved all the little extras at the camp deck with screen Gas fire pit and fireplace with battery operated candles Love the forest bathing cards and woodsy books
We can't recommend this place enough! Our family, along with our dog, had an unforgettable stay. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean and comfortable the home was. The host truly thought of everything, from the welcoming amenities to the well-stocked kitchen and extra towels. The property felt like a home away from home, and we spent our evenings relaxing by the fireplace or fire pit while our dog snoozed happily on his favorite bed. The host was an exceptional communicator, and check-in/check-out was a breeze. We are already looking forward to our next visit!
Everything we needed in a great location with lots to see. Without even leaving the property we saw and heard lots of wildlife, (I never knew beavers were so noisy at night!) including loons. Canoe and kayaks held our family of 5 well, so everyone could adventure together. Lots of easy fishing off the dock for the kids. The beds were comfortable and the bunk room was super cute. Plenty of blankets everywhere for the colder nights. The loft would be nice for a child in the 5-11 age range. Our teens objected to the lack of convenient outlets to charge phones up there and we worried for our 3.5 year old's safety if he were to try to come down in the middle of the night. The kids did like hanging out up there during the day. Outdoor spaces were great - two places to have a fire with enough seating at both, outdoor dining table, and the Adirondack chairs on the dock were our favorite. One minor drawback was that there is no indoor or covered outdoor dining area. When it rained, we had to eat in the living room. The coffee table expands and small folding tables are provided. (Really an ideal setup for football season.) This was fine with us, but I feared for the hosts' rug and sofa a little bit since kids can be messy. Plenty of nearby hikes- Owl's Head and High Falls are both about 10 minutes away. The VIC at Paul Smith's was so nice, we went for most of two days and still didn't see everything! We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, quiet area.
The perfect word for this cabin is relaxing. If you’re looking for a spot to get away, but just close enough to access the real world if you want to, then this is it. Everything was comfortable and cleverly designed. We spent as much time outside as we could, especially once we realized that Loon Song wasn’t in name only - there really are loons nearby!Communication with our hosts was easy and friendly. They were excellent at both giving us our space and being there when we needed. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to relax. Thank you!

Lynne and her party were a wonderful group to host, and we are thrilled that they found the location as peaceful as we do!
The house was immaculately maintained and the hosts were easy to work with. Thee is no air conditioning which is no problem in the area 99.9% of the time. However, we arrived during the peak of a heat bubble and it was uncomfortably hot at night. The host did provide two fans that did help.

We are so sorry to hear about this experience after the fact. You are correct, we do share in the description that the cabin does not have AC, however, there is a large central ceiling fan and fans for each bedroom.
