The area is a very nice little "town". The market is great. Being able to walk to trails is very nice. The house is good overall but could use some updating. The king bed mattress is very hard and uncomfortable. We did see a bear right in the meadow a few yards from the house which was very cool! Overall it is a good place to stay inside of Yosemite.

The host is a management company. I loved the location. The view out the back was beautiful. Upon arrival the information and keys were left for us outside the office as they were closed for the day. When entering the cabin, it appeared clean and well kept. However when we entered the bedroom and looked for a lamp switch and outlet I found a bag of open chips and kleenexes behind the end table. The florescent bulbs in the main bathroom were mostly burned out. Underneath the beds it was very dusty and unsettling. The whole area lost power on our last day. We went to the office to see when power might be restored. The manager told us the electric power company turns off power if there is fire danger due to high winds in the area. They tried to call us but didn't leave a message. She said she e-mailed us but I didn't receive it and I didn't receive a text message. We were given 1 lantern which gave out during the night. We were leaving the next morning but I felt sorry for quests that were checking in a different unit as all their food would now be spoiled due to no generators and no ice available.
