The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please complete one load of towels or sheets in washer and dryer and start another load in washer before you leave.
Turn off all heaters.
Take recycling to community center recycling bins (across from volleyball courts at clubhouse) Place recycling in bins loose, no plastic bags.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Any colony fines will be deducted from your deposit. The sand dunes are fragile, please no walking on the dunes. Fires are not permitted on the beach.
Please park in the garage or in the space marked 176 with parking permit on rear view mirror. Trailers, campers, RVs & boats are not allowed.
Skateboards, skates, bicycles or scooters are not allowed on boardwalks. Please put trash into cans marked #176, excess in sealed bags on top.

Consistently Exceptional!

This was our 7th time staying at this unit and there is a reason for our return year-after-year: it's just an all around great stay. Location so near to the beach, quiet surroundings, well-stocked kitchen gear, lots of space, clean, clear and prompt communication. We love this place!

Family Beach Trip

This was our third stay at this property. Our family and grandkids love the location and beach access. A very comfortable home with fantastic perks. Great local produce and not far from Monterey.

Fantastic Stay

Our three generation family enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving holiday at this beautiful home. The bedroom arrangements suited us perfectly, and the updated kitchen was very well-equipped. The location is fantastic — beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets and a very short walk to a spacious and long beach. Highly recommended.

Excellent Beachfront Townhouse

We reserved this house well before the insanity of COVID-19 descended on the world. It provided an excellent escape from the pressures of working from home and offered a relaxing location to shelter in place with the family. We have stayed here before with other friends and their children, and it is a place we hope to return to often.

The Beauty of the Location Can’t be Surpassed . . . !

This lovely townhouse, with beautiful expansive views of the surf, was perfect for a six-day getaway for my husband and son-in-law. The house was clean and comfortable with a well-outfitted kitchen and the property manager responded immediately when we had a question; she was welcoming and committed to ensuring we had a fabulous time. We will return, no doubt, again; the sea is a balm for the soul!

Monterey Dunes Rental

Having the ocean crashing outside the picture windows was magic. Very peaceful location. Easy to walk right out for long beach walks. Kitchen well stocked. Easy to cook Thanksgiving meal. Would highly recommend it.

Peaceful getaway

Staying at this house with our 4 children (12-21) was the perfect fete way in between our road trip to/from Washington state. The house is very close to Monterey and Carmel. is very spacious and right on the beach. It is very spacious and very well equipped (kitchenware, towels, cleaning supplies). Thanks!

Big Sur Weekend

We booked this as a family mini-reunion with our adult children. We were participating in various runs as part of the Big Sur Marathon. It was a fantastic place for our group. Everyone had their own bedroom, the common rooms were great with ocean views, the kitchen was as furnished as our home ( maybe better). When we walked in, my wife said “it’s better than the pictures”.

Beach is your backyard.

My parents and four young kids love this place. It’s a remodeled kitchen that works well and comfy beds with the beach in the backyard. What more could we ask for? Oh a heated swimming pool and a jacuzzi added to the fun. This property is close to the swimming pool and the entrance to the beach. We stayed here before and would again. We also get to park in the garage and only saw two different families 3 separate times in the 7 days we were there.

Annual family vacation

We Have enjoyed the dunes every year for the last 30 years. This year was like the old days when the renting process was no hassle. The owners were so accommodating with check in and check out times. They were understanding and helpful when a family member accidentally did some damage, making sure that our weekend wasn’t ruined. Allowing us to get it taken care of the day we left. Already looking forward to next year!

A Wonderful Week at the Beach!

This is a beautiful location with a house that really lends itself to making you feel at home. Being right close to the beach is really special: waves always in sight, with a very short walk to the water's edge. Even on a "busy" week (4th of July) we saw very few people and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was.The location is very close to Monterey if you can tear yourself away from the beach. The house itself is spacious and well-appointed with everything one might need. Many useful things were left for us to enjoy: games, beach gear, two bikes, a BBQ, for example. Having a garage for two cars helped keep them clean and cool. The bedrooms were plenty large, the bathrooms were clean and up-to-date, the kitchen was well-stocked and easy to use. Comfy chairs on the deck were used a often. We've rented similar homes many times in the past and I have to say that Karen was top-notch in communication with us: always timely, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Graduation Celebration

The beach is lightly used and offers walking, bird watching, whale watching, surf fishing and much more without putting on shoes. On the other hand you can explore the areas such as the Pinnacle Mountains and wineries to the east, Santa Cruz 30 minutes north and the towns of Monterey and Carmel 15 minutes south for more adventure and endless activities.
