Amy’s studio D unit is homier than it looks in the VRBO listing. It is perfect for a couple. Everywhere was clean, and all furnishings and appliances were in good repair. Cozy bed and thick towels. The unit had dishes, dishwashing supplies and laundry supplies. We had a pleasant two nights and would definitely stay again if we come back to Eureka.
Dirty little apartment/bad neighborhood/unresponsive host. After staying here I am a little baffled by all the 5 star reviews on this property. There were several amentities listed by the host that were just not true:1. Parking - its first come first served street parking in my opinion in an unsafe neighborhood.2. Ocean view -there is no ocean view.3. Thermostat - you cannot control/turn off the heat. It pumps out of a hallway unit that you cannot control. Try to open windows, but there are no screens, so bugs in the unit.4. Grill - brought all our stuff down to grill, no dice. The "grill" is a husk that doesn't appear to be operable this century. 5. Living room - there is no living room at all.6. Bed - bedding did not smell clean, bed old and rickety, pillows old and deflated.Laslty, contacted the host at the beginning of our week stay regarding a missing set of second keys. She responded, but the issue was not resolved all week, making an inconvenient stay for 2 people.
