The space is very clean and pretty. 3 beds offer lots of space. And its in a beautiful location.

The property was in very much need of updating. The couch was dirty, the bathroom accordion door was almost all off the track. It was not appealing aesthetically, there were no side tables at the bed or any table in the bedrooms for that matter! It provided absolutely no amenities besides hand soap in the bathroom. To be honest, it was a dump.Check in was basically all on us. We had to reach out the day before to find out what we needed to do, she wasn’t even sure of our reservation. We needed to provide our name, even with the VRBO confirmation number

The apartment was on a very noisy, bar filled street, which is nice when you want to go out for dinner or drinks. The downside is that the noise goes on into the night past 2 a.m. To get to the apartment, you must climb three flights of very rickety stairs. Because we were traveling with an octogenarian, these were worrying. So beware that there is no lift and the stairs look like they might cave in at any moment.The beds were uncomfortable, with springs sticking into our backs. The bathroom door was a very old and falling apart accordion style door. It was open at the top, so it did not make for sonic privacy.The kitchen was hardly stocked with anything, which seems typical in Portugal. However, this cupboard was particularly bare. I would not recommend this place.

The unit itself was nice, however, we experienced several issues with our stay. The owner did not provide check in information until we reached out, half an hour after our check in time. When we arrived, the unit was not the unit advertised in the VRBO listing. We were promised AC, and there was none. This apartment did not have air conditioning, and no windows in 2 of the rooms, and no fans to make up for the lack of air circulation. The apartment is also directly above several bars, making it very loud at night and further preventing the windows to be left open for air. The fitted sheet of one of the beds was unclean, visibly stained and had smears of some substance. Some bath towels were also stained. It was evident the owner likely forgot about our booking and placed us in the unit she had available, and did not have time to clean prior. Disappointed to say the least.
