Thank you so much for your wonderful review! It truly means a lot to hear how much you enjoyed the views—that’s exactly why we call it City Lights. There’s something really special about watching downtown Gatlinburg light up from the cabin, and I’m so glad you got to experience that magic.
I’m also happy to hear the check-in and check-out process felt easy and smooth for you—that’s always our goal, along with making sure you feel relaxed and taken care of from start to finish. Having that peaceful, tucked-away mountain feel while still being close to everything makes it such a unique spot.
You were an absolute pleasure to host, and you’re welcome back anytime. I’d love to have you stay again!

Great views and a local bear!
Great views from the deck. If the windows were clean you'd get the same view from inside the house.
You will most likely get to see a bear up close. Mr. Bear will walk right up on the deck so be alert when you're out there. Lock your car doors because Mr. Bear can and will open them and look inside for food. On the good side if he doesn't find any food he doesn't do any more damage than leave a little dirt.
The jacuzzi is great.
The kitchen is equipped but doesn't have many forks so you might want to bring some flatware so you're not always having to do dishes. Bring dishwasher soap too as there were only four tabs available. Bring extra TP as what was available won't last more than a day or two.
Note that the trash pickup is on Mon and Fri.
The beds are extremely firm. There are no extra blankets so if you like lots you need to bring them.
Try to arrive during daylight if you aren't familiar with the neighborhood. The roads getting there are very steep and narrow. That incredible view location has a cost.
Overall it was a nice trip.

Hi Gregory, glad to hear that you enjoyed the location and the cabin. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We apologize for the minor issues you experienced during your stay, and had you let us know upon your arrival, these things could have been taken care of right away.
- As is standard in the vacation rental industry, the owner provides a starter amount of toiletries and other essentials, and once that amount is out, it's typical for the guest to purchase more supplies. We supply all bed linens, bath, & dish towels, and washcloths. The kitchen is provided with pots, pans, dishes, glassware, silverware, and cutlery.
Thanks for your helpful review!
First of all, the view alone is phenomenal. Second, the wildlife you see around is crazy. We had a few run ins with bears and some raccoons. They just acted like it was normal for us to hang out with them. The drive to town is perfect. And we had so much fun with the hot tub and game room. It was the perfect friends trip. We will definitely be coming back to this cabin! The only issue we had downstairs in the game room that the floor was buckling and caused a couple of us to trip a little bit. But that was literally it.
Everything was great from the home owner, cabin and view. Breathtaking views of the mountains and city. Cabin was cozy and plenty of room. The owner was very nice and responsive. We would definitely book this cabin again

Never a Dull Moment
We had the absolute best stay in this cabin. We never went a day without seeing the wildlife surrounding us. The cabin alone was amazing. The view was impeccable. At night time during the Christmas is such a treat to see. We had a group of 7 and we were able to enjoy ourselves without feeling like we were on top of each other. The only thing that we were only weird about was how badly the floors are damaged. It kind of became a little bit of a hazard when we were walking in and out of the downstairs bedroom. But literally, the best cabin I ever been in. We already plan on coming back very soon.

Quiet Stay in the Sky
We had an absolute blast staying at this cabin. Hold on tight as you take the winding mountain road to the top, this is where you're staying. The view of Gatlinburg from the deck is breathtaking. You can see almost the whole village along with the Gatlinburg Skylift and rop bridge. The cabin was very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of room for a large family. With all of the amenities one could ask for. We especially loved sitting on the deck for supper and resting in the hot tub after long days of hiking. The trip to and from town is an easy one. We will definitely be back.
Deck needs to be updated , I got a big splinter in my feet when I was on the deck .
Also need to put on the description about the steep driveway which was fine for us however it was scarey
Cabin was what we hoped it would be. It was clean and had plenty of entertainment available, had a great view and we even got to see some local bears!
Great stay!
We just stayed for a full week at this mountain home. There were 6 adults and we were in Gatlinburg for my son’s wedding and then a week of exploring the Great Smokey Mountains.
LOCATION: The home is situated up on the mountainside looking over the town of Gatlinburg, the view from the deck both day and night is awesome. It is a winding mountain road up to the house, but fun once you know where you are going. It was a short drive from downtown up the hill, less that 2 miles.
HOUSE: First of all, this home is very clean and we felt very comfortable here. The 3 levels to the house make for privacy when needed and a bathroom on every floor is good. Each bedroom is nice with king beds and bathrooms right outside bedroom doors. The bottom level bedroom is small, no dresser or closet with a double bed and it is cool on that level so needed extra blankets on that bed. Nice washer & dryer and the kitchen was nicely functional for our needs (note that none of the pans are good for making pancakes), and everything we needed was there for us. Living room is small and not much seating. Game room downstairs very big and fun for games. Both could have used a few more club chairs or sofa for everyone to gather and visit after dinner or games.
HOT TUB: What a VIEW! Nice to use at the end of day. Chlorine was extremely strong, so it helped to take top off tub for about 5 minutes before we got in, to let the strong chlorine odor disperse. But it was clean and relaxing after a days hike!
BEARS: Ummmm there are bears everywhere in this area and we had a daily visit from “Brownie the Black Bear” (as we named him for his brown butt). Stay diligent about no food outside or in vehicle, because he checks every day to see if you slipped up and left something out. He even came up on the lower deck as we were on the upper deck, but he was respectful of people and turned away when he saw us getting up. Such a treat to see them, but always be alert and respect that they are wild and keep them wild. Drive carefully in and out of the hills, watch for the bears anytime of day or night.
DOWN TOWN: Weekends in Gatlinburg are a madhouse, absolute traffic jam with both cars and people. Weekdays not as bad and is a better time to go there to explore.
WATERFALLS & HIKING: We visited three waterfalls and Cades Cove. Lots of bear sightings in Cades Cove and it’s a lovely drive around the park. Went to Abrams Falls, long somewhat difficult hike, but very pretty. Took the Roaring Fork Nature Motor Trail and stopped to hike to Grotto Falls, beautiful location and you can walk behind the falls. Also did Laurel Falls hike which is very pretty. Each one was unique and worth the effort. We did the chairlift ride up the Anakeesta for the day, it was a touristy spot but still a fun day and beautiful views. Saw a bear while on the chair lift.
FINAL THOUGHTS: All in all we enjoyed the house, Clean, comfortable & Awesome Views. The week in Gatlinburg was fun and we loved seeing all the BEARS.
Note: When you put garbage in the cage at road, turn the sign to FULL (not EMPTY), so the garbage truck stops to pick it up on Monday & Friday.
Overall the cabin fit our needs. It was clean and adequate supplies were provided. The kids had plenty of activities to do with the pool table, foosball table and games. The hot tub was nice and large. The outside living space and general upkeep needed some work.
It all went amazing! Only complaint would be the upstairs and downstairs temperatures were colder than center floor because of there only being on air unit!
We had an amazing vacation experience at this place. When we checked in, everything was in place. Hot tub was on and running. Clean towels, extra trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper and soap. Plenty of areas for everyone in our group of 6 adults. We enjoyed the pool table and foosball table. Downstairs TV is HUGE with awesome sound bar. There was a sofa missing that was pictured In the game room so we had to pull up chairs and stools to accommodate everyone. That would have been the only negative and also there isn’t a true master bedroom since all bedrooms have to access the bathrooms from outside of their rooms, no bathroom connected to a bedroom. The view from the game room was breathtaking. The view from the deck outside was simply amazing! No pictures can truly represent. We were in the hot tub every night even on cold nights and watching the view from it was one of the best experiences! Inside we made a fire a couple nights and I loved having the three levels for privacy for everyone. It has a real cabin feel but very nice inside. Downstairs was the most open with lots of room but if I were to suggest, there needs to be a little more seating area in the game room, but we made it work. All in all, everyone in our group loved the place and we would love to come back!
Overall the cabin was nice. The trash was almost full when we got there so we had to take most of ours with us when we left. There were no warm blankets and it was cold and some say they saw a ghostly visitor?? Overall we had a great time
Narrow roads, cant access if you go during winter without 4 wheel drive and chains. We did get to see some bears that came through the yard, one even got in my sisters car, be sure to get all food out of your car and lock your doors. We had a great time and even though the drive up especially at night was scary, the views were gorgeous! I do recommend taking your own grill.
Overall clean but definitely need more seating for outside. The patio table stayed complete soaked the entire time we were there. Overall satisfied .

Hi Cynthia, thanks for your review. The homeowner has asked us to share the following response:
We're glad that you liked the view and cleanliness of the cabin, but we're sorry to hear the weather didn't cooperate during your stay. The tropical storms made it rainier than usual this year. We typically suggest that guests store the outdoor cushions under the gazebo during periods of prolonged rain. We will look into the outdoor seating as well, and see if more should be added. Thanks for that suggestion, and we hope you had a great time in Gatlinburg!
Had an amazing experience staying in this wonderful cabin. The views are breathtaking and not many cabins in this area offer views like this, especially views of the mountains and Gatlinburg. We had multiple visits from bears, but that is why we chose a cabin next to the wilderness. One bear tried to open my car doors while we were home on the deck, so make sure to lock the door. Also, don't let little kids wonder around because the bears are everywhere. The owner was responsive and a pleasure to communicate with. Overall, if you want to fully relax in the beauty of the Smokies and be close to the city, there isn't a better place. Thanks.
The house was clean and was exactly how it was pictured and described. The drive up the mountain is not bad, by the second trip up and down it was easy to navigate. We did get to see bears, one came daily to the back deck. Overall I would recommend staying here. The view is awesome too!
One of the best weekends ever, mostly due to the cabin. The reviews were right, roads are curvy and location was difficult to find. If you want a true Smoky Mountain experience, this is the perfect spot. We woke up everyday with bear in the yard and they would pass through out the day. Made for a very memorable anniversary for my parents.
The only thing that wasn’t perfect, was the coffee pot. It could stand to be replaced. Other than that, I’d say it was PERECTION!!!
