Fell in love with this place!! View is spectacular, clean and cozy. Susan was very responsive to all questions. The place to go to if you just want to relax, play in the water, go for nice walks and not really be around people. My dog, Charlie, even surprised me and actually got into the water on his own a few times.

It's a great place. Very cozy,peaceful,welcoming and romantic. The bed was super comfortable with soft blankets. It has everything you need for cooking.. the host was also great about communicating. We'd love to come back and recommend it to couples looking for a peaceful,quiet getaway..

Thank you for leaving a review Joshua. Owning my private beachfront allows my guests to try a couple of oysters. Those who want more can get a permit and walk down the beach, just a few more cabins to the county park where they can use their permit to catch their limit of oysters.

Such a cute place! Right on the water. Everything you could possibly need and then some— even s’mores! The sunset was spectacular. And low tide was low! Best place to relax.

Came out here for a 10-day solo trip with my dog. It was the perfect setting despite the crazy atmospheric river weather. I still got in some pleasant days. Communication with Susan was great. We enjoyed watching the sea life during our stormy stay. The cabin is situated near the sea wall. The water was at or near it while we were there so the otter, seal and many water fowl were quite close in. All of our creature comforts were met in this well supplied place. If you like older well kept lodging with loads of character then this IS for you!

The cabin is a great place for wildlife watchers and water lovers. I really enjoyed having a fire each night and watching the tide come in. The tree in the backyard provides really nice shade, something a lot of the surrounding properties don’t have. Neither of the neighbors were home so I had a lot of privacy. The 12pm checkout time is always appreciated so that you can get a slow start to the morning. Thank you!

Great lil' cabin with a retro theme.

The cabin was so cool. (Given the awesome retro decor, maybe I should say the cabin was groovy). When the advertisement says pet friendly, thats an understatement. There were ceramic food and water bowls. And, lots of fencing that can be arranged as needed. Such a great getaway.

This cabin has everything you need. I was there in a rain storm for two nights and three days and it was king tide so the water was all the way to the bulkhead. It was absolutely wonderful to be safe and warm and tucked in so I could read, write and just watch the ocean. I have wanted to be in this cabin since I was a kid and it was a dream come true. Thank you for sharing Susan :-)

This was THE best, most romantic getaway ever! The host was incredibly communicative, even let us show up early with no extra charge. Her instructions were clear. She had many things for us to use, and the heated floors were amazing! I would definitely stay out here again. We had an incredible view of the lake and the seals! I’m jealous of the people who get to live here full time. This was a honeymoon to never forget! 100/10!

The place was simply magical! Make sure to grab any supplies you might need from the store before getting to the location because it’s a 1hr round trip to the closest store. We will be returning in the future! Only tricky part is the driveway. I chose to back into the driveway because pulling out the view is obstructed and could be an accident situation since traffic moves a little faster than the speed limit. Other than that, our host Susan was so warm and inviting and quick to answer any questions. The neighborhood is friendly and always waving. Great place!

Susan has thought of everything! The cabin is well taken care of and stocked with anything you could possibly need for a relaxing visit to Hood Canal. Everything was very clean and well-organized. We don’t have a dog, but love that it is pet-friendly with lots of supplies for furry friends too. My husband and I didn’t feel like we were staying in a rental. It felt like home. The space was perfect for two and still felt roomy. The cabin sits directly on the water with steps to get in and out for swimming and water activities. We saw seals, eagles, and otters right from the outdoor seating area while sipping coffee every morning. It was so dreamy and exceeded our expectations.

Our stay at Susan's Tahuya cabin was amazing. She's maintained the rustic charm of her family's fishing cabin while also making select updates for comfort and modern life. The cabin was insanely well stocked with everything we could possibly need or want. The location is fantastic, right on the water and with very little traffic passing by. We'll definitely be booking the Tahuya cabin again in the future.
