Bayfront Oasis in Old San Juan's safest neighborhood!
Our beautiful home exudes the charm and magic of Old San Juan while providing luxury & comfort for guests. The perfect spot for a couple or work/vacation visit. Our reviews tell the story of a safe and comfortable spot to stay in. You are greeted by Veronica and/or her hubby Luiscito.(Unless we are accommodating an unusual time) They are a wealth of information regarding places to go, events, eateries and activities. Walk by the limbers vendor on the first floor (quintessential Old San Juan!) up to the second floor and enter the apartment. The living room opens to a beautiful balcony overlooking La Rogativa with breathtaking views of the San Juan Bay. Comfortable sofa, TV, dining table and chairs, sideboard and artwork fill the main living space. The renovated kitchen features stainless steel refrigerator and apron-front sink, custom-built pantry and cabinetry. Hallway leads from kitchen past a half-bath to the enormous master bedroom, with very comfortable queen bed, nightstands, dresser and love seat. Continue from the master bedroom past an office nook / study to the full bathroom with custom-tiled shower. The second bedroom rests in the back, furnished with a daybed ( two twin beds) and dresser. The many windows and an interior wall of frosted glass allow the entire apartment to be filled with the light of the Caribbean sun! The breeze from the bay cools the house accented by the overhead fans in each room. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms. This spacious ( for Puerto Rico) 1200 foot apartment is in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Old San Juan. There is NO smoking in any areas of the apartment even the balconies. We also do not allow pets due to severe allergies. This quiet upscale neighborhood is one of the safest in Puerto Rico. Directly across from the Governor's mansion there is 24 hour guards! We cannot allow any parties as this is a residentlal area. Quiet time starts at 10PM. A Walk around the corner and you are facing the Cathedral, El Convento and a few steps take you to Plaza Del Armas, supermarkets and our favorite "the Poets Passage" where you can find unique souvenirs. For the shoppers there is Ralph Lauren, Coach, El Galpon (hats), Burberry and Guess! Fine jewelry can be found at E Barquet or Bared. Puerto Rico has a rich tradition in crafting hand-rolled cigars so try the Cigar House. History filled sites such as El Morro, San Juan Cemetery, El Yunque is a world famous rainforest, La Fortaleza are a must. Many beaches such as Carolina Beach are clean, safe and the caribbean water is warm and clear blue. The beach in isla Verde is beautiful and 20 minutes away. Fishing, water skiing, horseback riding, Jet skiing , snorkeling are all within a half hour ride. Escambron beach is a 20 minute walk 5 minute drive, I would recommend the "try Diving" . There are parking lots nearby as there are areas in old San Juan that have restricted parking only for residents. I will send that information. There are maps and brochures with information regarding activities, places to eat and famous sights. If you are looking for a safe area and want to experience the beauty of Old San Juan this is the place for you.

Our stay was amazing with beautiful views. The beds were comfy and the house was just perfect. The historic architecture added to the charm and the experience. I recommend this property for anyone visiting Puerto Rico who wants to immerse in Old San Juan.
This was the best spot in Old San Juan! The view was spectacular and the balcony was a plus! It was the best spot to be away from all the craziness. Nice and quiet and serene. I will definitely be back!
This property is right in the center of Old San Juan in a great residential and safe neighborhood. It was quiet and so close to all the great places to visit in the area. The host sent us a list of some yummy restaurants and was very responsive and respectful of time. I would totally stay here again!
This rental was excellent in every way. Great views of the bay, cozy beds and excellent service. Response time from Minnie was fast and Vicki and Jose were top notch. Great restaurant recommendations. You will not be disappointed staying here.
The location and view in my opinion is probably about the best you will find in old san juan , there are 20 steps (second floor) which wasnt a problem for us but could be if your handicapped , overall i would rate it excellent
This was a super cute place in a fabulous location. It was so nice to stand on the veranda and see the city, fort walls and ocean. Lots of fun thing within walking distance. The hosts were very responsive and nice. The master bed is huge. The second bedroom is pretty small but cute. Loved feeling like a local!

Great week in San Juan.
Just perfect in every way. Location excellent. Flat had everything we needed. Jose and Vickie were so helpful and friendly. Flat beautifully decorated. Clean and modern.
The property was well stocked with everything one would need for a very comfortable stay. The property is in an excellent location to explore all that Old San Juan has to offer.
The owner was easy to reach, had great recommendations for places to eat and things to do.
The contact person in Old San Juan was more than gracious and helpful.
This location would be my first choice to book when we return to Puerto Rico. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in this beautiful home.
We really enjoyed our stay. Such a cute place and well equipped. Great air conditioning in bedrooms. Jose was so nice and helpful- we really appreciated him looking out for us and helping with our luggage. Walking around Old San Juan we felt very safe and all the people were friendly and nice. Did a Spoon Food Tour and went to Fajardo to do miniboat tour and bio bay tour with kayaking Puerto Rico. Had such a good time.

Amazing Stay!
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Old San Juan. Our apartment was in a perfect location, allowing for walking access to all the best sites and restaurants. Vickie and Jose could not have been more hospitable. They made us fell welcome from the moment we arrived and provided great recommendations on things to see and do. Jose also prepared a fantastic shrimp mofongo. Highest recommendations on all points.
So much of what the owner,
Ms. Santos, has done with this property exceeded our expectations. After all, much of Old San Juan is, in fact, very old (500 years old !). Starting with the spectacular view overlooking the bay from the balcony, this is a wonderful place to stay while exploring Puerto Rico. Equipped with all the modern features we’ve come to expect and an owner who always quickly responded to all of our inquiries. We look forward to returning just to stay here again.
Great location in Old San Juan, not too close to cruise ship dock but easy walking to almost anywhere. Nice cozy remodel for 3 to 4 people, with good air conditioning in bedrooms. Parking reserved for residents nights and weekends, but paid valet parking at Hotel Convento for $25/day. Great communication from host, and very friendly, helpful and informative property managers live next door.
Sitting atop one of both tourists & locals favorite Puerto Rican food experiences (limbers: fruit-infused shaved ices)
and sporting a flower-draped balcony overlooking Old San Juan’s iconic La Rogativa statue and the Bay beyond (marvelous sunsets!), we were thrilled that such an apartment in a centuries old building could even be rented!
Of good size for the old city, and both well-furnished and well-maintained, we reveled during a week spent there exploring delightful Old San Juan.
We can only hope to return soon!
This is the place to stay, it’s everything it’s advertised to be. The location and views are fantastic. Close proximity to all sights, restaurants and shops. In a very safe neighborhood, police presence, all day, everyday.
Minerva is the BEST host, responsive, kind, informative, helpful from BEFORE the trip started until the very end.
I can’t say enough about Minerva or this location.
My family and I would definitely stay here again and again. #10 stars
Our group had a wonderful stay. The location was perfect, just steps from the governors house with security around the clock. Extremely close to everything that Old San Juan offers. Jose was amazing, when we arrived he got us into the property for a quick tour, following this he gave us a walking tour around old San Juan, pointing out places to eat and giving a great history lesson. He was fantastic! It was very hot, so if you’re not used to humidity it may take a day or two to adjust, however both bedrooms had great AC. Without a doubt we would use this property again if we make it back, just wonderful!

Wonderful!
Had a great time and it truly felt like home because of José and Vickie’s personal touch. Apartment is immaculate, AC works in both bedrooms, and it’s so safe and secure -gorgeous views too! Jose was awesome and walked us around, offered parking for our car (we decided we didn’t need it and used uber other than 1day), and were just so very personal. Amazing!!
This was our second time in this lovely place and it didn’t disappoint. We were there over Three King’s Day. It’s like a second New Year’s Eve. The town is decked out beautifully and we were close to all of it. In spite of the holiday Luis and Minerva checked in to make sure all was well. As we are the type to spend part of our vacations curled up with a book, this place was perfect, with an unparalleled view. Highly recommended!
From the moment of arrival, one can't help but feel a part of this vibrant, Old San Juan neighborhood. Right across from the entrance to the Governor's quarters, and with a gorgeous view of the bay, one gets to experience the coming and going of cruise ships, locals, vendors and all who live and work in this area of OSJ, along with the tourists exploring El Morro, just behind the apartment. Walking along the Paseo El Morro quickly became one of our daily enjoyments.
Minnie is a communicative and thoughtful hostess, who takes pride in her apartment.

Nice location and stay
Thank you Minerva, we had a good stay, and wonderful hospitality from Vickie and Jose, who were available when we needed them, saved us from the rain with their umbrellas. The second floor apartment is in the neighborhood of the Governor's Mansion by the bay/wall, nicely located and safe. We were able to walk around Old San Juan from this location and tourist spots and miss the throngs of people from the Cruise ships when they docked. Nearby there is a colony of cats around the bay and town “Save the Gato" as the cats are preserved and taken care of by volunteers.
muchas gracias, Peter and Judy

Why they chose this property
The many times I traveled to Puerto Rico I found myself at the Rogativa ( historic statue) never knowing where I was headed, I found myself there. When I was looking for property I was surprised to find myself, again, at the Rogativa. The apartment was a shambles, need to be gutted but my heart was here. One year of renovations and it was my dream worth the headache of renovations.
What makes this property unique
Across the street from the Governor's Mansion, this is the safest spot in Puerto Rico. Perfect combination of a quiet street yet minute's walk from all the action.
