Beautiful neighborhood/location, directly across from the zoo. The apartment was nicely furnished, and convenient to Rhodes College.Owners were very friendly and helpful.
Spectacular location in a quiet neighborhood across from the zoo, art museum, and a park but just a few minute drive to everything. Check in/out was very easy and the place was clean and comfy. Places like this one are why we use VRBO.
We were in towns for 3 day to visit friends. Its basic, we did use any thing other than a bed shower and the fridge for a few beverages.
Comfy bed clean shower. Overall clean. Road parking, i was leary about, but very nice neighborhood.
We loved our ”tree house” apartment. We met and courted in Memphis so celebrating our 49th anniversary across the street where we hung out in our youth, Overton Park, was especially meaningful. Our little nest was the perfect spot and everything we needed was there. Our hosts were responsive and not overbearing. We only saw them once! We would stay there again for sure.
I stayed at 5 nights while in Memphis for a visit with my son and his family. I wanted to give them space but be close by and this was the perfect place for me - it was quiet, safe, comfortable, bed was great, internet was fast and had all the conveniences I needed. I was able to have food on hand for stacks, dried out my clothes when I got caught in the rain and was able to work part of the time. I had originally been looking forward to being able to utilize the nearby park but unfortunately I was recovering from a shoulder replacement and did not get to take advantage of all the area had to offer. I hope to come back again so I can!

Cold carriage house
Hosts very pleasant but forgot we were coming. Had to wait in cold car while host checked house changed sheets and turned on heat. It did not warm up until midnight. But was always cold. Over an unheated garage and cold oozes out of baseboards. Great location nice kitchen, no where to put suitcases but living room floor. It was inexpensive and ok.
Geer and Jordan were very accommodating during my parent’s stay. They came over immediately and when the Roku was not functioning. My parents enjoyed their stay in this loft!
We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to return. We loved being able to walk to breakfast, the museum, and ride bikes in the park. Our hosts were wonderful and accommodating. This is the perfect little spot for a getaway in Memphis! It's definitely a hidden gem!
We absolutely luved the property! We were able to walk to the zoo and aquarium!
We walked to the music in the park also!
We were in a central location to lots of shopping, food, places to visit.
The owners are very helpful and kind. They shared a few things with us to make our stay perfect.
Having washer and dryer on site made packing nice and light.
We would luv to return to this property
Jordan and Geer’s apt was very cozy and comfy. We absolutely loved the location. So close to many Memphis favorites with an extra plus with Overton Shell hosting another memorable concert. A favorite band!!! All arrangements were very easy. Such a nice calm atmosphere in the neighborhood!!! Planning to come back soon!!
The property is 12 minutes from downtown and just a few minutes from lots of restaurants in Midtown. It is also directly across the street from Overton Park. It was exactly what we were looking for.
We had a great weekend. This location provided us with a perfect retreat from a stressful professional life. Right across from Overton Park, Brooks Museum, Levitt Shell, and the Zoo! Perfect driving distance to a lot of great places to dine and drink. We had a great weekend.
We had 3 days in Memphis prior to a weeklong conference. We chose to stay in midtown as the conference was downtown. The location across the the street from walking trails, art museum and what turned out to be an exceptional zoo was perfect.
We did not have a car. Several restaurants were close. Ecco being close was a great choice. Cafe Society also close was expensive and a disappointment. Other restaurants a bit further away 30 minute walk to Overton Square were great.
Would highly recommend staying here.
Everything was just as stated. The location was PERFECT. I loved the cozy & clean accommodations. Communication was great with owner, although I didn’t need to contact him outside of the initial email he sent. Everything was perfect.
This was a fantastic property and even better location. We came into town for a wedding and everything was very nice. The house and accommodations were clean and we had everything we needed for our short stay. Bed was nice and comfortable and house was tastefully decorated. Location was great. Safe and central location in a beautiful area of Memphis. Will definitely stay here again if we visit Memphis again in the future.
This cottage really is perfectly located, especially for visiting our child at Rhodes. We were minutes away from all the fun things both downtown and in Midtown, and the zoo is just outside the front door.
It was very comfortable and clean, and was equipped with everything we could possibly need. It also felt really private like we truly had our own space. We definitely plan to stay here again!
One note -- we couldn't get the fan in the living room to turn on, but it was so cool, we didn't need it anyway. (And very easily could have been operator error.)
Don’t be jaded by “downtown”. A stay at Overton park is the go-to spot in Memphis with lot of designer houses in a desireqble neighborhood. We had a great time walking to restaurants for dinner, walking for Gatorade in the AM, and walking to a workout in the park (for free) with Cardi-o. The guest house was private and quant and exactly what you would expect. Enjoy your stay in Memphis by Overton park
We were in town for a concert at FedEx Forum. We wanted a convenient location away from the the downtown Beale Street hubbub. This was perfect! A beautiful neighborhood of stately, older homes in Midtown. The Brooks Art Museum was just a short stroll away in Overland Park. The apartment itself was clean, modern and comfortable. I highly recommend this listing!

We're Memphis natives, looking forward to hosting travelers in our wonderful midtown neighborhood and helping you explore all the amazing food and culture the Bluff City has to offer. We're very accessible and down to earth. We love walking in Overton Park, jogging the trails in the Old Forest and checking out live music at the Levitt Shell - luckily our house is a stone's throw from all of these great activities. We also enjoy checking out local foods, traveling and supporting our Memphis Grizzlies!
