Our party of 2 couples visiting Charlottesville We so loved staying in this beautiful home. Everything was clean and comfortable, and so convenient to everything (we walked to UVA to visit the Rotunda). Anna (host) was very helpful and prompt to answer questions. Would absolutely stay again : )
My family and I very much enjoyed our visit in Charlottesville and staying at this lovely property. We became fascinated by the history and charm of this older home and the beautiful redwood tree in the backyard. The house was beautifully decorated, nicely furnished with all of the small touches that make your stay more pleasant. Anna was so responsive and attentive throughout the entire process. She was wonderful to work with us and answer any questions we had. We would definitely stay in this home again during future visits to Charlottesville!
The Boone-White House was as described! Proximity to campus and Scott Stadium was ideal and Anna was great with communication. The outdoor area with the giant redwood tree was amazing!!!
Great property, but not the right fit for anyone with mobility issues. The steep climb to access the home was a challenge for us in 100 degree weather.
We love the Boone White House. It has been a home away from home for us when we are visiting Charlottesville. Can’t say enough about the accommodations and the customer service. Would be our first choice anytime coming Charlottesville!
The home and grounds are very charming. We had everything we needed for our stay, and enjoyed walking to the local cafe/coffee shop for quick meals. All activities were just a short drive away from the central location. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!
This charming historic home was very clean and centrally located near UVA. The kitchen was well appointed and the grounds and patio are lovely. We were a group of senior citizens and the amount of steep stairs outside and inside made it a challenge getting luggage upstairs to the bedrooms. Road noise is significant and there were water pressure issues in the main bathroom. The driveway is difficult to get in and out of as street parking blocks the view to pull out and it is very difficult to see oncoming cars and kids on scooters and bikes. A mirror in the median would help. Backing out is very hard so you must do a turn around at the top. Driveway is shared with another property on site so turning around takes a helper or two.Overall a great stay, just a few challenges.
The house is beautiful, but unfortunately we had a bad experience. One of the exterior doors had a broken lock when we arrived. We checked in Sunday at noon and immediately notified the property owners. They failed to fix the lock until Monday at 8:45 pm. All the while they expected us and our belongings to stay in an unlocked house. The owners compensated us 95 for this incident. The master bedroom is spacious with a nice bathroom but it sits above a busy street with a fair amount of noise.
