Dear Sherry: It is disheartening to read such a negative review so lets review your disingenuous talking points.. 1. Your are furious because it was dirty and listing full of lies. . You noticed the housekeepers on site and could have asked them to do more cleaning if you felt it was dirty, and if your read the Welcome Package, the first sentence says if you want any more cleaning, a house keeper will come right over. If this was one star rental you could have walked out and not stayed, and yes you would have gotten a complete refund. 2.The listing is very clear and very detailed and states one bath and so you did not read the listing very carefully. It says it is a Jack n Jill bath. 3. There is a coin operated laundry mat just 2 blocks walk, but you did not ask for directions so incorrectly assumed it was the one that closed down on Mandalay Ave 4.The kitchen had the cabinets refaced with new wood and granite tops. It's not an expensive new condo, but very functional for a beach vacation as evidenced by the VRBO rating of VERY GOOD, based on other travelers opinion. 5.Yep the expensive twin Tommy Bahama bed has and additional 4x4 support post as sometimes we get very heavy guests over 350 lbs. Still looks beautiful. 6.Yes the Kitchenaid appliances are not brand new because they last a long time and guess what, they all worked great. The listing is VERY CLEAR this is an older apartment with updates and not for PICKY, FUSSY, DEMANDING guests (quote from the listing ) 7. The listing is very clear there is a pool and tennis courts, located at the Clearwater Aquatic and Recreation Center just a few blocks walk and we give you free passes. You did not read the listing carefully. 8.When you arrived, I greeted you and offered things to do for your teenage kids, and I suggested Beach Fire, a block away as they offer, a place young guests to gather, not drink, but cards, Karioke, and other recreational activities. I never suggested they drink there and they would never be served.. Your most negative review stems from other than your unhappy stay at this rental, but is a very positive thing as it helps future travelers who are PICKY, FUSSY, DEMANDING, or want a very high end 2 bedroom condo for a weekend not rent this unit and be disappointed. Dear Rosa: Sorry to hear you felt your overall experience was horrible, that Capt Al was not nice and ruined your vacation, and that our request for the state tax was a lie, which you repeated more than once and to us.by text. So for the benefit of others and yourself, here are the facts. 1. The prior guest did not know it was check out day, and I did meet you upon arrival and was confused while I had 6 other check in that day. You offered to get a bite to eat and I ordered all 3 cleaning girls to get it ready asap and had you in there in 1 hour. 2. I did request the state tax which was NOT collected by VRBO. I also called VRBO the next day and the book keeper was correct, not a liar, and the tax was not collected,. I did not make a big deal about it after that and was going to let it go since I did not want to ruin your vacation and ask you again as you did not want to make any effort to pay the tax and called the book keeper a liar. 3. Capt Al is not nice, well, I was cordial everyday, asked if you wanted any more cleaning or towels, sent the house keepers over daily to bring you towels and supplies, It did appear you all were having a great time with your other N J friends every time I walked by. 4. Your disingenuous review and unhappiness stems from your misunderstanding of the tax situation, and nothing to do with the New Orleans Cool Beach Apartment which you could not find any fault with in any way., You could not find fault with cleanliness, size, furnishings, location, noise or other things could ruin your vacation. 5. If this really was a one star property you would have walked out and demanded a refund. Unfortunately your disingenuous one star review is not because of our management or billing skills, but stems from something else. Capt.Al and Karen

Dear Ron: Thank you for your letting other guests know the new 2018 Kitchenaid Deisgner series appliances are nice, and that decor was different styles. We never lock the main entrance downstairs to all the apartments and if you had difficulty with your deadbolt, you could have notified the manager who would have been there in a jiffy. Thank you for letting other travelers know the New Orleans Beach Apartment was clean and that Capt.Al was friendly The dated beach apartment is decorated with real Tommy Bahama furniture in a heavy European style, to complement the New Orleans theme. The listing is very clear this is not a new condo, but a remodeled mid century building and not for fussy, picky travelers.
