This is a great place to stay. It was very clean, nicely finished and furnished, plenty to do, and Kyler was a very nice, personable, and responsive host.
We had an amazing overnight stay. The cabin is beautifully decorated and has fun, yet tasteful, little nods to their llamas/alpacas. Speaking of alpacas, we loved getting to feed them in the morning. The porch was a gorgeous spot for my morning cup of coffee, which they had provided, and my son enjoyed the tree swing and our cozy movie night. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The property was exceptionally clean, super cool, and just a great time! The alpacas were really friendly, we gave reach one its own name, they have distinct personalities. The horses loved the apples and carrots, and it was so relaxing. We got to use the ax throwing and had a nice bonfire to end the evening. 10/10.
Before I left for this trip, I said ‘if the property ends up being nearly as good as the listing makes it seem, this is going to be a great trip’ and it turns out the property was exactly as listed. Cute place, lots of outdoor space, plenty of privacy (except of course, for the alpacas watching you every move ;) ). It felt rustic, while having amenities like AC and solid wifi. We just left and have already decided that we would love to return!
Dog heaven! We were visiting Fargo for Wrestling Nationals and the entire town was sold out. Luckily, we came across Alpaca Cabin. Well worth the quick 45 min drive east of Fargo. We came up with our two golden retrievers, which can be difficult in a hotel due to their size and activity level. Alpaca Cabin was perfect for our 3 night stay. Plenty of space for the dogs to run. Loved our stay and would definitely book again!
We wanted a quick getaway from the city and we were interested in seeing the troll sculptures around the Detroit Lakes area. This spot gave us the perfect homebase for a family of 3 for a 3 night stay. And our little dog enjoyed getting to come along. The farm landscape is beautiful, and feels private even with the main house just down the drive. The alpacas do keep an eye on you but that is definitely part of the charm and they were fun to interact with.
It's our second time and I'm sure there will be a third. Kyler is a super host and the place really is magical. I usually wake up by 4 but slept in until 7 in the super comfy bed... The sounds of birds and gentle breezes through the beautiful pines. The alpacas are the super stars., Gentle and adorable. The property looks like a postcard with the lush trails, beautiful streams and beautiful pasture. Three kids had more fun than at Disneyland!! Thank you Kyler for a special couple days.
We thought the cabin went well beyond our expectations. Fire pit ready to go, mini-split system for comfort, snack amenities & very clean. Several outdoor seating areas. Please note there is a fridge, but no freezer. Attended nearby tractor show so unwinding in this tranquil setting was perfect after an abundance of noise & crowds. Alpacas were charming, dogs friendly & puppies were fun. There is a very small alpaca themed store on site. Wish we had more time to explore the well maintained grounds/area. We will definitely be back to spend quality time. The owners should be very proud!
Our weekend stay was wonderful. The cabin was even better than expected. The alpacas and dogs were a special treat and the host was responsive and friendly.
Very attractive and well maintained. Beautiful quiet location, perfect for finding trolls. We got to feed alpacas and pet puppies. My granddaughter said it was “the best 18 hours of my life so far!”
Everything about this stay was amazing! It’s quiet, comfortable and clean! The alpacas are so fun! We loved that there were plenty of little activities around the property like bocce ball and ax throwing! This is a must stay if you’re in the area!
Clean, stylish, quiet. Fed alpacas to my heart’s content.

The Alpaca farm cabin was a beautiful place to stay. We loved feeding the alpacas, enjoyed the sauna, did some axe throwing in the yard, and enjoyed a drink on the cabin’s porch at sunset. This place is a gem and worth the trip from Iowa to get there!
