This place was perfect for our short stay in Detroit Lakes area. The amenities were well thought of and great and the cabin was very clean. We had fun feeding the alpacas.
We had a wonderful time staying at the Alpaca ranch! The cabin was comfortable, clean and very well maintained. We had full of the heat and/or AC. The property was beautiful with lots to see and do for the kids. We all loved the sauna and getting to visit the animals each morning. Cant wait to come stay again!
This is a great place to stay. It was very clean, nicely finished and furnished, plenty to do, and Kyler was a very nice, personable, and responsive host.
It was perfect! Comfy and cozy. Beautiful space to get away from the busyness of life and relax. The sauna was hot and lovely, the Alpaca were amazing and my pup loved all the new smells and experiences too. 10/10.
This cabin was INCREDIBLE! It was so cute, clean, and homey. Kyler had it nice and warm for us on arrival. I just can’t say how much I loved this place. The alpacas were so sweet and so fun to feed and interact with. Overall, I would come back here time and time again. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
Our weekend stay was wonderful. The cabin was even better than expected. The alpacas and dogs were a special treat and the host was responsive and friendly.
Perfect cozy getaway even though it was very cold out! Loved feeding the alpacas and meeting the horses. I would absolutely come back, and hope to in nicer weather when I can walk the trail.
Absolutely beautiful place! The host was so helpful and kind. The alpacas and sunrises made the perfect start to our days and those sunsets ending them so grateful! We will be back again and thank you for sharing the beauty you have there!
Everything about this stay was amazing! It’s quiet, comfortable and clean! The alpacas are so fun! We loved that there were plenty of little activities around the property like bocce ball and ax throwing! This is a must stay if you’re in the area!

About the host
Hosted by Kyler Wendt
We moved from Moorhead, Minnesota to this property in 2022. We spent the first couple years building fences and the cabin. The alpacas have been a lot of fun and we have learned a lot. We have a little store on the property that sells the yarn and other items from our Alpacas.
Why they chose this property
Audubon is a great little city. It is very small but has a gas station/liquor store and a bar/liquor store. Haha. Detroit Lakes is only five minutes away and they have everything else.
What makes this property unique
This property is at a higher elevation than the surrounding area, which gives great views.
