Two-Bedroom Maine Coastal Waterfront Cottage / optional kayak rental

This sweet 3-season, 2-bedroom tidal waterfront cottage is perfect for hours of relaxing or as a base for excursions to the many attractions in Mid-Coast Maine. The living room boasts large windows, offering a lovely view of the tidal cove. A spiral staircase leads to the second-floor bedroom with a queen bed. This room features a high ceiling and windows on all sides, making it bright and airy. The main-floor bedroom has 2 twin beds. Between this bedroom and the living room are the bathroom with shower, and a cozy reading nook. On one side, there is a stone patio with table/chairs/umbrella, on the other a small deck with gas grill. The eat-in kitchen (renovated 2020) is well equipped and has its own view of the cove.

Walk steps to swim, watch the tides, or see resident osprey and occasional bald eagles. Explore the cove and Winnegance Bay by kayak (available from owner for extra fee & signed waiver).

10 minutes to Bath, one of Maine's "Top Ten Towns to Visit" - Maine Maritime Museum, restaurants, shopping, river cruises, farmer's market, antiques.
20 minutes to Brunswick - Bowdoin College, museums, shopping, restaurants.
20 minutes to Popham Beach State Park, Small Point beach, Nature Conservancy Morse's Mountain sanctuary and beach, historic forts.

We had such a wonderful stay! The cottage was beautiful, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect, and we really enjoyed our time here. Deb and Jamie were wonderful hosts, very kind and responsive throughout our stay. A lovely spot for a peaceful Maine getaway, with great access to local beaches and towns. I brought my mom for her birthday and she loved it. The house was incredibly well-equipped, views are beautiful and the hosts are very kind and super quick to communicate. Beds are comfy and wildlife abounds. We saw seven deer along the roads in one night which was such a treat, so just go slow driving in the area! Highly recommend!

What a delightful little cabin. It was perfect for my husband, 7 year old and myself. We enjoyed watching the tide come in through the big picture window. The space was welcoming, clean, and had everything we needed. Deb and Jamie were responsive and helpful. And, we appreciated that there were no artificial fragrant scents in the house. Overall it was the perfect place for our vacation get away.

Another Great Stay at Brigham's Cove

Our second year visit to this wonderful cottage at Brigham's Cove, where the kayaking and wildlife sightings are excellent and the location near Popham and Reid's Beaches, Bath and Brunswick makes it easy to pack your days. Very well appointed kitchen and comfortable rooms.

Deb and Jamie's property was just as advertised and absolutely phenomenal. Everything was clean, well stocked & organized; they've thought of everything you might need. The cove is so peaceful & quiet, and we loved walking down to the water every day to birdwatch. We would absolutely stay here again, in a heartbeat.

This is an unusually quiet and peaceful place. No noise from lawn equipment, airplanes, roosters, or 5 a.m. lobster boats—just the quiet of the cove. Excellent for sleeping: the bedrooms are dark and quiet, and there’s air conditioning if you need it, though it was cool enough during my stay that I didn’t.For me, the big advantage was the kayaking. I brought my own sea kayak and kept it at the point which is a very short walk from the house, and access to the water from the gravel beach is better than most Maine tidal beaches—you only have to avoid 2½ hours on either side of low tide. There’s a lot of protected water to explore, with access to open water farther out.The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Other than not having a dishwasher—which doesn’t bother me on vacation—it had just about every pot, pan, coffee maker, condiment, and basic supply I could have wanted. The owners are very generous about keeping useful supplies on hand.And the owners are great. Easy to reach. Very, very responsive. They’ve been in the area forever and have a deep knowledge of it.The house itself is beautifully decorated, very clean, and no creepy-crawlies to be found. The living room is comfortable and has an excellent view over the cove, as does the kitchen table. It’s a very easy place to settle into and enjoy, particularly if quiet, water views, and easy access to kayaking are high on your list.

Wonderful, peaceful stay

Can’t say enough positive things about the hosts and the cottage. A beautiful place to spend a quiet week - we loved the cottage, swimming and kayaking from the Point, and watching the tides come in and out. Communication was amazing.

Immaculate quiet on scenic cove. Away from all traffic or noise. Fabulous location, midway between Bath and Brunswick. Accessible to our favorite beaches- Reid and Popham.

Fantastic seaside cottage

This is an outstanding cottage in a super area. Very clean and well-supplied. Wonderfully responsive hosts. Lots to do and see in the area. We especially enjoyed the kayaking and bird watching!

Such a wonderful escape from busy city work life! The cottage view of the cove is beautiful and soothing! The cottage is clean, comfortable and stocked with all the comforts of home - every kitchen tool & gadget you could dream of is here. Daily kayaking included and nature walks from the cottage door showed us bald eagles, ospreys, great blue herons, seals and many deer and other birds. This is truly a nature lovers paradise!

Sweet Cove

We returned yet again to Bigham's Cove, for this sweet cottage, very well appointed, with an excellent location for us, since we love the beaches, kayaking, wildlife, and getting into Bath and Brunswick. Wonderful hosts who are easy to communicate with, and who clearly cherish their lovely cottage.
