This rental was sub par. When we arrived the AC was on & it was cold inside. We opened windows and turned on the heat but I went to bed cold 5 hours later. There was no welcome information & we weren't told the Wifi password. There was no cell service so we had to drive 20 minutes to town to send an email to the host requesting the password. The place appeared clean but upon investigating the kitchen we found several items in the kitchen disgusting. There was a paper towel under the coffee pot to absorb drips and it was black with coffee stains & grounds. We couldn't find a decently clean appliance to heat water for tea or coffee & ended up using a sauce pan on the stove to heat water. We did not trust that anything we used in the kitchen was clean. There was a decorative pillow on the dining bench that had stuffing pulled out of it and the stuffing was just laying all over the bench. There was no closet in the bedroom to hang clothes that we had on hangers. We hung them from the curtain rod. The towels in the bathroom were worn & ragged - I use nicer towels as rags for my dogs. Even the welcome mat at the front door was torn in two pieces and didn't make us feel welcome or valued as a guest. The hosts could easily improve their standards with a little attention to detail & effort. This stay was disappointing & not worth money.
We really enjoyed our time at the Full Moon Cabin. We appreciated taking a few days to relax after many days of travelling. From the fenced yard, we could see a mountain to the north and another one to the south through the trees. It was also a nice base from which to hike in the area and Yoho National Park. Skye was very helpful. She also recommended and showed us how to hike to the Blaeberry River. It was one of the highlights of our stay. We saw several eagles and about 20 sockeye salmon swimming up river.
