So glad your stay was a good experience. Thank you for the kind words.
We absolutely loved our stay in Billie’s cabin. Everything is provided, including lots of comfy pillows, plenty of comforters and lots of fresh towels. The decor is so cozy and original and Billie keeps everything immaculately clean. Highly recommend staying here and would love to go back when it snowed to use the stone fireplace.Longmont is a great town with lots of farm fresh food and central to beautiful farms and easy access to hikes and Boulder.

Thank you Brooke for that great review. Good to hear someone else likes pillows! So glad you were comfy.
This was such a cute quiet little cabin. It's is behind the owner on site. There is a nice big yard, patio chairs out front with lots of shade to hang out in. There are beautiful mountain views and is a great central location to several places. Thank you so much for the use of this cabin. We would rent again if ever in the area.
Nice little cabin perfect for me and wife and dog. A lot of land for dog to run around. Not in town and and peaceful. Host was nice couldn’t ask for more. Defiantly be back

I want to raise Aaron’s house rules star rating to four stars. My finger slipped. They were great guests.
We’ve never stayed in a real log cabin before! It was indeed cozy and so comfortable, with a nice sized bed, kitchen and fireplace. Our dog loved running around in the yard. Our two hostesses were wonderful. It was a great place to stay while visiting family and friends._
We stayed 5 nights and loved the cabin and location. We had a wedding in the area and enjoyed the restaurants (Rosalee’s pizza, Longs Peak, and the Rock Garden in Lyons). Billie was a great host and recommended some great places to hike. They had Alpaca on the grounds and our grandson love to see them everyday. It was a very memorable trip and loved our accommodations.

Thank you so much! So glad you had a wonderful stay in Colorado.
The cabin is small but the lovely large outdoor living area made it feel so much bigger.Great peaceful place!I loved the thoughtfulness that went into putting lots of hooks on the walls for hanging stuff. That goes a long way in small areas!
Cozy, efficient log cabin is in a nice location close to town. Nice front patio, attentive owner. The only suggestion I would make is to ensure the quality of bedding; softer, more comfortable. For those with back issues, a bed with quality padding is very important.

We installed a new mattress, so we hope that it will be more comfortable for future guests.
This was such a beautiful stay! The host was lovely! My husband and I felt like we were in our own little cozy world in the cabin. We will definitely be staying here again. It’s so close to everything as well!

So happy you got a get away and it was good. Now back to reality…
Sisters Billie and Cheri have lived here for 26 years with their mom Mary until she graduated to heaven in 2018. We’ve used the cabin for friends and family visits for years. After 2018 we decided to become hosts for more than just friends and family. It has been fun meeting folks from all over and everyone has been very respectful of the cabin. In addition to the amenities mentioned there is a large lawn and a quiet road for dog walking. There is also a lovely front porch area to relax amongst the aspen and pine trees after a long day of exploring .
Why they chose this property
We had llamas and we wanted to keep them where we lived and be near places to hike and tent camp. We could go out to the wilderness for several days at a time carrying only our personal gear. The llamas carried the food and kitchen and tents. They are enjoyable to hike with and social while on the trail. People always want to stop and talk with us about them. We called that hiking on llama time. We lived that lifestyle for about fifteen years. It was great, but we’ve out lived our llamas and don’t want to sleep on the ground anymore. We enjoy living here, it’s quiet, we know most of our neighbors and have enough space to work projects and crafts without having to put them away each night. Cheri is a knitter and uses alpaca wool so we also have a couple of alpaca. They are not good beasts of burden but their wool is exquisite.
What makes this property unique
The cabin was originally in town and occupied by the excavator and his wife during the construction of Trail Ridge Road, the famous and highest paved road in the USA. The rest of his crew slept in a larger cabin which is still in town. They only worked during the summer so it took several years to complete. The previous owner worked for him, (not on that project), and moved the smaller cabin here. The logs and fireplace are original. He re-finished the interior, and over the years we too have made improvements. We listen carefully to guests comments and try to make things as comfortable as possible.
