'Beautiful 7 BR 5 Bath Log Home with a game room, Hot Tub, and Starlink internet

This beautiful log home is located on five wooded acres with a great view of the Smokey Mountains. The 4,300 sq ft, three floor interior contains: 7 bedrooms, 5 baths, and a game room in the basement and Starlink internet. Magnificent mountain views can be savored from the spacious, wrap around, covered deck which also houses a hot tub. In addition, the deck and main level have wheelchair access. The cabin is not recommended for motorcycles if you are riding them to the cabin. If you trailer your bikes you can park them at the lower landing. The cabin is completely furnished and contains all the amenities necessary to improve your vacationing experience. All linens are professionally cleaned off site. Some of these amenities include TV’s in every room, barbecue grill, and fire pit among other things. The two master suites both contain custom king beds and 32” Flat screen TV’s. There are also two more king bedrooms on the main level along with two bedrooms with a full and twin beds in each room. One of the most unique features you’ll notice as you step into spacious interior is the custom handmade railing leading to the master suites. When you step down into the basement game room, you will find a 8’ pool table, air hockey table, Foosball, 51" TV, leather couch. All of these details have been taken care of to insure that you will have a great time at Archer’s Lair.

Great house!! There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room. Host and maintenance people were quick to answer questions and take care of a few minor issues. I think my only recommendation would be to put a second refrigerator on the basement. When you're buying food and drinks for that many people, one fridge was cutting it right. We would definitely come and stay here again.

We used this space to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary with friends and family. Our group of 10 had more than enough room for all of us to relax and enjoy our time comfortably. The game room was a BIG hit. The mountain view from the deck was incredible. Ted was quick to respond to any questions I had. The family is already talking about booking again in the future

If you're looking for a remote, quiet and serene views....this is the place you need to book!Cabin is FANTASTIC for larger groups with PLENTY of space for everyone in the family. The huge deck was used all week by our whole group for coffee in the mornings, hot tub in the evenings and everything in between.The driveway getting to the property is steep and very 'mountainous' but we had FWD vehicles and took it slow with no problem....if you're not used to mountainous roads, you might be a little intimdated at first, but the destination is worth it.Just about 15 minutes from downtown Franklin allowed our family to be remote enough without being near shops/restaurants/grocery stores if we needed something.Our family really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Archer's Lair for any larger group considering it.

This property is gorgeous and spacious for large families and groups. The views are incredible…..rain or shine!! Everything is provided except for food and drink. I mean everything!! Our family thoroughly enjoyed the game room, televisions in each of the bedrooms, and a huge dining table for us to gather around and eat together. All of us thought the beds were super comfortable too! There was plenty of seating on that gigantic wraparound porch where we enjoyed our coffee or sipped on our cocktails. The hot tub was large and very clean too. Driving up the mountain and being greeted by several deer was an adventure for Louisianians like us. And the entire area of Mac Mountain Retreat Lane was peaceful and beautiful. After reading through the guest book on the fireplace mantle, I saw that many others were also delighted by their stay at “Archer’s Lair”. How could they not be?!

we Have been here the last four or five years with four generations for 4 and half months to 74. we had a great time with the family. We love that there are only a few cabins nearby. Ted and Mary are easy to work with. Every relaxing and a lot of room.

Our family's stay at Archie's Lair was outstanding! My siblings and I hadn't been together as a group of 7 (& spouses, you) since our Mom died in '12. We lived, loved, laughed, ate, slept not necessarily in that order! We had some long talks on the deck, in the hot tub, at the table, remembering and making more memories. We lacked nothing; the few messages sent to Ted were answered quickly. The view can't be beat. The 1st drive up Macs Mountain Retreat will test your nerves/driving skill, but it gets easier. Don't hesitate to rent this cabin!

We absolutely loved our stay here! There were 15 of us, 9 adults and 6 kids, and there was plenty of space! The kids loved the hot “pool” and the game room the most! We spent the weekend celebrating my mom’s 70th birthday! We will definitely be back soon to stay even longer!

Amazing views! Everyone had an amazing time with all of the amenities. Road is super steep to get to the cabin but it is worth it for the solitude once you arrive. Plenty of room for our whole family group of 13. Would definitely book again.
