About this property
Relax here, lake cabin. Beautiful sunsets and screened in porch.
It's hard to believe we've had great guests for the last 14 years coming back to our cabin. And we are just as excited about this summer as we were our 1st summer.
It's a beautiful cabin tucked into a wilderness setting, of peaceful woods and water on a dead end road with little traffic. Our guests come back for the peace and quiet. And the amazing screen porch overlooking the lake. You'll feel like your living outside, but with all the modern amities. What more can you ask for...
The lake is clean with great swimming/fishing, the shoreline is loaded with the purple pickerel plant. The cabin features many unique characteristics that give it a personal welcoming charm. Inside, there are two bedrooms; one upstairs with a queen and one downstairs that is a bunk with a double on the bottom and twin on the top. The cabin is fully furnished, 2 couches, rustic pine chair, coffee tables, end tables, etc... The kitchen is well supplied; plenty of large and small appliances and all the utensils you need. and yes, wine glasses and copper mule cups too!. There are lots of games and books here. The best room in the house is the lakeside screened in porch. You'll enjoy your morning coffee, mid-day nap, and evening sunsets here.
Outside, there are two fire pits here, one lakeside and the other up by the cabin, for those of you that need a calming campfire while you stay. Don't worry about firewood it's here. Want to barbecue, you can use gas or charcoal here(bring your own charcoal). There is a fish cleaning house located on the property as well. The kayaks, paddle boat, canoe and paddle boards are all included! All the good stuff is here, you'll think you died and went to heaven. Fall in Love with Long Lake.
Things to consider before you book your rental... -a screened in porch for outdoor living when it's raining or an unanticipated Wisconsin bug hatch hatches? -are there paddle boards and kayaks available? -is there swimming right off your dock and a level lot? -fireplaces available, along with firewood? -WiFi available, a smart TV(not that you need a TV) -Does the vacation rental have character? -What are the sunsets like? (fantastic here) All of these are included with your stay here!
Additional fee is for over 4 adults. (21 years of age or older.) The pontoon is available for $600 per stay. Washer and dryer is free of charge. Pet fee. Please ask/let us know about your pet(s)

The cabin was exactly what we were expecting. The screened in porch was perfect for the rainy night. Everyone loved fishing off the dock and using the pedal boat and standup paddle boards. We didn’t rent the boat but used it for dock seating while the others fished. The steps down to the lake were safe, much better than some other rentals we’ve been to! We were grateful for the firewood and had a fire night with s’mores. The kitchen had everything we needed, we even saw a crockpot, griddle, French press for coffee, and other little extras that were a pleasant surprise! The beds were so comfy and we loved that the shades in the upstairs bedroom were close to blackout so we could sleep in! Our little pup loved the yard and being able to run up and down the yard and not take the stairs too. It was so relaxing and we’d definitely return! Thank you so much Matt & Amanda!
A wonderful visit yet again. A great place for our family to relax and enjoy the lake. Full of the amenities our family needs - washer/dryer, pontoon rental, wi-fi, and more.

Really happy that you thought our place was beautiful! And like everything inside the cabin as well!!
We came here to unplug and throw away daily routine and this was a great location. The location was just close enough to local establishments to grab a hand scooped ice cream treat but far enough that it didn't feel like we were in a city. Description is very accurate and the owners were flexible and great communicators.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin on Long Lake. The location is wonderful—the lake is small, peaceful, and quiet. We saw a bald eagle and a heron, and enjoyed walks with our dog along the gravel road. We appreciated having the kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boat, and pontoon available. The many windows in the living area make the smaller cabin feel more open and cozy. There are a few areas that could use some attention. The exterior of the cabin and outdoor equipment had quite a few cobwebs, spiders and dirt- we ended up doing some cleaning before using certain things. A few maintenance items include a squeaky front door, stained/upended ceiling tiles, loose fireplace bricks, burnt out dining and kitchen light, and no outdoor lighting. The basement stairs are very steep and could benefit from a railing. We also found the towels and kitchen linens somewhat limited for a six-night stay, and were only provided one additional garbage bag.The pontoon was a shell but fairly clean, although the fuel level appeared quite low when we arrived despite being told there was plenty of gas. It made us unsure of how far/long we could go without running out of gas and limited our time on it. It was a substantial rental investment compared to the time allowed per the gas level.Overall, we enjoyed the peaceful setting, lake, and recreational options. With a little additional attention to cleaning, maintenance, and guest supplies, we think this could be an even better vacation experience.
The cabin was clean and cozy. Had all the essentials for cooking at home, and the outdoor space was amazing. Great fire pit, grill, and water toys. Comfy bed. Would love to stay here again!
Beautiful property excellent upkeep. Had all the necessities and host was easy to contact with prompt responses. Boat added extra fiahing fun and a different sunset view nightly. 2 firepits allowed adults and kids to have fun doing their own thing. Thanks for an amazing escape.

Thanks for coming. There is a lot of unique gathering areas to this cabin for sure.
Matt was a terrific host — responsive to my questions before the trip and thoughtful enough to check in after we arrived. The cabin was delightful: clean, well-decorated, and stocked with everything we needed. The firewood was a great bonus, and the AC was very welcome after hot days on Long Lake. The screened-in porch was a highlight. I traveled with my 15-year-old daughter and 16-year-old son, and this was a much-needed getaway for the three of us. We ate every meal on the porch and even watched the Fourth of July fireworks from there while it rained outside. We loved the kayaks and stand-up paddleboard, and I even caught fish from the kayak! The convenient fish-cleaning house made it easy to clean our sunfish, which we breaded and fried for a fun snack.Long Lake was peaceful, even over the holiday, and the wildlife was amazing. A loon family visited daily, and we loved watching the parents care for and fish for their chick. A great blue heron was another regular visitor, and a bald eagle soared overhead while my son and I were kayaking. Deer were plentiful, too — my son was even greeted by a mother and two fawns during an early evening walk.We only left for supplies and dinner at the 5 O’Clock Supper Club, which was excellent. Mostly, we swam in the warm water, read, relaxed, fished, paddled, and enjoyed the Northwoods. This cabin was exactly the escape we needed, and I hope we’ll return soon. Highly recommend!

We love the outdoors and hope you do as well. Visit as strangers but please leave as friends.
Why they chose this property
It's quite, peaceful, calm, and so easy to relax. It's not too big and it's not too small. You'll spend precious time with family, friends and mother nature and "getting lost". The seasons make it so special as well! It to hard to have a favorite season here!. We live in this area and want to share the beauty with you all. This is truly a vacation destination.
What makes this property unique
The fishing. The quietness. The screened in porch in the morning or the evening. The lake is big enough for pontoons and some tubing but not for skiing. During the week you'll feel like you'll have the lake to yourself! It's quite here.
