This was our 4th time at this cabin. We have been to four others with our family only because this one was not available the week we had vacation. Cabin is great, lake is perfect and owner is great to work with.
This was our first time staying at this property. Everything matched the listing description and pictures. Tom,the owner, is great and super responsive. The lake is perfect for swimming and floating. There are kayaks and a canoe for use as well. Kitchen is well stocked! We will be back. Pretikitchen.
Our stay was fun and relaxing. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The fall colors were amazing and the lake was beautiful. Hope to stay here again!

Very clean cabin on a great lake
We did our annual girls weekend here and loved the cabin and it’s on a very clean lake.
A fun and relaxing getaway. We took advantage of the paddle boat, kayaks, ping pong table and out door fire pit. The lake is small but clean and surprising quiet. The fishing was good too!
My family stayed at Tom’s cabin for four days and had a wonderful experience. Tom has excellent detailed communication and even told us where the best places to fish. Great experience.
Beautiful setting and a small clean lake, often glassy smooth, without seaweed and with some beautiful water flowers and loons, herons, and pilleated woodpeckers. The lake is dark but clean. We appreciated and used the kayaks and paddle boat.
The house is surrounded by trees and quite private. It is recently updated with nice amenities. Our only wish was for a larger, taller toilet downstairs. The enclosed porch was pleasant and we enjoyed having coffee on the deck in the morning while watching and listening to wildlife. We also enjoyed the fire pit. The WiFi was adequate. We did wish the holding tanks weren’t emptied quite so early on our last day (just because of noise). The owner is friendly and helpful when we had questions.
Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!
Booked this location for a relaxing weekend away with my husband and some friends to celebrate my birthday.
We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin/location, as it was spacious and cozy for the four of us! With the snow, we enjoyed some board games, an indoor fire, and exploring the area of Cumberland/Comstock.
Tom’s kindness, quick responses, and overall assistance with not only the booking process, but also with a question we had during our stay was greatly appreciated as well! We would definitely stay here again!!
Our family of 6 was very comfortable during our stay. It’s got plenty of space but had a cozy feel. We ate most of our meals at the cabin and the kitchen had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well. Several evenings we enjoyed walking up the road and watching some spectacular sunsets as well as spotting all kinds of wildlife. The kids loved the kayaks and we took the paddle boat out all over the lake. Little Long Lake is a small, quiet, and peaceful lake that is perfect for fishing. Cumberland was a quick drive and the grocery store had everything we needed. I feel that the pictures are an accurate representation of the space. Tom was very responsive to anything we needed which we really appreciated.
We had a great stay, but a couple downfalls. There were several sets of stairs down to the beach area. The pier was small, and there was a large pontoon boat (that we were told was unavailable to us) taking up the majority of the beach area. Other than that, the fishing was fair but not great. The house was beautiful, fire pit area was great and well stocked with wood. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful quiet location. Well equipped home. We enjoyed meeting with our young adult family members here. The kayaks, paddle boat and pontoon boat all added to our enjoyment of the lake. A campfire in the cool evenings, and grilling dinner on the charcoal grill were wonderful. Very private. Owner responded to emails quickly answering any questions.
The perfect setting for a blessing of rest and reconnecting with each other, for a busy fatigued family!

Beautiful home, restful stay
This home is beautiful, and the lake is nice. The kayaks are really nice and eaasy to use. The paddle boat is very dated and rusty/dirty looking so we did not use. The house was clean. I felt like the price was a bit high overall since it lacks certain conveniences (i.e. no washer and dryer, bringing own water, 2.5 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 4 days, have to bring recycling home with you). Ping pong table in garage was great! Owner is very responsive.

Nice, clean, bright and spacious cabin on beautiful lake
The cabin was clean, offers many bright windows and lots of space. This is our second year staying on the lake it is a really, clean and quite lake (week day stay). Location is nice, make sure to check out the Comstock Creamery. This cabin is located next to the public landing.
If you rent the Pontoon boat, please note it does not have a canopy for shade so it can get a little too hot and we did have to get off the lake to get out of the sun. It worked fine, but its pretty old and doesn't have cup holders or storage, so don't bring anything valuable.
We could not use the raft during our stay, because the stairs were broken and we couldn't get on it. The best place to swim is the middle of the lake off--jumping off the boat. Kayak's are really nice and there are some inflatable toys to play in the water with.
If you like to cook, the kitchen is pretty well stocked, but could use a few updated items: "glass" glassware, frying pan, knives need to be sharpened/new ones, cutting board, etc.
Also, I agree with others and the owner that you should bring your own water. We brought gallons to make our coffee with and bottles to drink. Unless you are going to boil the water I would not consume it due to taste. The 5-gallons provided is not filtered-purchased water. It is tap water from another source.

Nice place - Best enjoyed during the warmer months
We just returned from a weekend at this property (early October, 2017). Newer construction and very clean. There is sleeping for at least 8 (we counted up to a dozen) and certainly enough living space if you're going to spend a lot of the day outdoors, however, it rained most of the time we were there so we were inside. The 3 of us (me, my mom, my 6 y/o) found it to be plenty of space. You'll have to be the judge if it would be for your family or group. The beds and linens were comfortable and there are plenty of extra blankets if you're a freeze baby like I am.
As clearly stated, they provide enough bath towels/wash cloths for the number of people staying. For our weekend, this was plenty but as there is no laundry, we would have needed more towels or a way to wash them had we stayed for the week. The lake is beautiful and the fall colors were close to peak. It's very quiet. The public boat launch was not a problem - only a couple vehicles in and out and no one was bothered in the least. The owner, Tom, is very responsive both before and during your stay.
If the weather had cooperated, we planned to use the paddle boat. After seeing it, I'm not sure we would have. There are no peddles on one side and it was very dirty from all the rain and falling leaves. There were life jackets available and both the pontoon and kayaks looked like they were in good shape. I'm sad we didn't get to use the firepit - too wet - but it was set up nicely just off the back deck overlooking the lake.
I would follow Tom's advice and bring drinking water. We did and were glad for it. The kitchen is adequately stocked with dishes, cups, utensils, and pots & pans for cooking. The pots and pans are older and not in great shape but we made due. Foil and ziplocs are provided which was nice.
My only disappointment was not having working internet. Tom phoned me just before check-in to let me know it might be out but he wasn't sure. Unfortunately, it was not working and did not work the entire weekend. I normally wouldn't have minded except we had a 6 y/o with us and due to the rain, didn't spend much time outside. I tried to use my phone as a mobile hot spot for her iPad but cell service is almost nonexistent (Verizon customers be warned!). We did watch some TV but the reception is via antennae and highly affected by the wind and rain we had most of the weekend. There is a pretty big supply of DVDs.
Overall, very happy with the property!
This was our 2nd year staying here. We love it here! The cabin is clean, beds comfortable and our kids love the ping pong table and lake. Tom is very responsive. Thank you for the great stay.
