About this property
Secluded Quiet Cabin with Sauna
Place yourself in nature. Put down your phone and pick up a book. Clear your mind, focus on your breath, connect with your inner self. Sleep like you’ve never slept before accompanied only by the sound of owls and wind in the pines. The Belden Farm offers land that is a true retreat. Enjoy the privacy and quiet of our cabin in the woods. Extensive, well-maintained trails for hiking, skiing or Fattire biking lead you through towering hardwoods, cathedral white pines, and golden meadows. The space The private, secluded cabin is a large single room with an attached bathroom and sauna. The living area includes a small kitchenette, fireplace, futon bed/couch, and rockers. Large windows connect you to the woods around you. Ski, bike, snowshoe or hike right out your door. Cozy up to a fire and enjoy a cup of tea. There is no WiFi, marginal cell service and no TV; this allows you to disconnect a bit and take in the stillness of the moment and the energy of the land. Over the years people have written songs, poetry, and created wonderful art during their time at the cabin. It is a special place that inspires creativity, introspection, and connection with nature.
New London is 15 minutes away for supplies and some restaurants. Appleton and Waupaca are 30 minutes away and have a bit more to offer. Waupaca’s Chain of Lakes and Hartman Creek State Park offer many options. Oshkosh’s EAA Fly-in is a short 35 minutes away. Guest access You'll have the cabin to yourself. The cabin is secluded from others though the host lives in the farmhouse a short distance away should you need anything. Other things to note We have cherished and enjoyed this land for over 50 years and want to share its unique qualities with others. As such, we are open to the cabin and the land being used for retreats, spiritual practices, healing, and meditation. Please let us know how we can support your experience.

Was exactly as described. Very cozy and peaceful. Definitely would be a better winter cabin than a summer cabin with the fireplace and sauna so I can’t wait to come back in the winter sometime.
The cabin is immersed in a beautiful forest, with many hiking trails in the property, where you can see wildlife such as deer, squirrels and many birds. The sauna is a great plus. Super recommended.
We just enjoyed a great weekend here. The cabin is secluded in the woods. Plenty of paths to walk around the forest. Tighe also loaned us a couple of bikes for the afternoon. Perfect place to just relax and get away. Awesome for dogs that love to run around and explore. Cabin is clean and very nice. It’s a small place with no TV or WiFi but thats what we needed.
This is a magical place. We've stayed at a number of VRBO cabin type places in WI and this one is our favorite. Secluded - beautiful long walking trails - sauna - and a sense of history. You really feel like you're connecting with the world around you when you stay here. The owner, Tighe, is incredibly accommodating. Our car wouldn't start and he helped us get it going - albeit it would have been a great place to be stranded. Our old dog loved it too. Lots of great smells and the trails are meandering.
