About this property

Comfy Home in the Adirondacks, close to Gore Mnt, hiking & snowmoble trails

The home has an open floor plan with a full working kitchen, large dining area and comfortable living room with wood-burning fireplace. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and dinnerware.
There are 2 full bathrooms, one with a full-tub/shower and the other with a shower.
Bedroom 1, the master bedroom, has a queen size bed, and bathroom.
Bedroom 2 has a queen and a twin size bed. Both bedrooms are spacious and have closets.
The loft area has 3 twin beds.
There is also a mud room with washer and dryer.
Home has phone, internet and DISH TV
Linens are provided but please bring your own beach towels for outdoor use.
Our home is located on a private road minutes from the center of town with private
access to the Cedar River and on-site nature trail. In the warmer months, perfect for an easy walk from your door to the soothing sounds of the cascading river water. In the Winter, right on the Indian Lake snowmobile trail with easy access to Blue Mountain Lake, Speculator, Long Lake and the Moose River Plains trail system. Skiing at Gore Mountain is only 20 minutes away. Indian Lake also has its own ski hill and ice skating rink to enjoy.
Spring season begins with whitewater rafting down the Hudson River, launching right
from Indian Lake. The area offers endless outdoor fun but also is centrally located for exploring all the area has to offer – museums, movie theater, shopping, restaurants, water parks, golf, leaf-peeping and scenic drives in the fall...
The town of Indian Lake offers a full calendar of activities and events for all seasons. Please check out the Indian Lake website to see what the town has planned for the year.

We had a great visit! There is beautiful natural light from the windows. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Loved the design of the fireplace and the photos of wildlife in the living room. We hope to come back when we have more time to explore the area. We enjoyed Chef Darrell's Diner in Blue Mountain Lake. there is outdoor and indoor seating.We really appreciated being able to bring our dog, thank you!

Weekend getaway in the mountains.

This was our 4th time staying here hope to continue the tradition next year. It is the perfect balance of seclusion but also in close proximity to all the ADK park has to offer. The host is responsive, the cabin is warm, inviting, cozy and really makes you feel like you are alone in the woods!

Awesome Weekend Stay.

Great location, quiet, clean. Short walk to Cedar River on a maintained trail leads to mowed area next to the river which is a great spot to hang out. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely stay

We very much enjoyed the relaxation this cozy cabin offers. From watching deer just yards from the back window as we drank our morning coffee, to playing checkers on the game table with a fire going- it was the perfect respite.

Weekend winter getaway.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was the perfect location and central to many Adirondack lakes, towns and villages. We would definitely recommend for an Adirondack stay. Steve was also very helpful and is a an A plus host. Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin!

Relaxing

Loved everything about this home. Related by the fire with a nice glass of wine. Cooked a nice prime rib dinner and played some games. Saw a lot of deer walking around the yard. Thank you so much for letting stay in your home, we're looking forward to another trip to your beautiful home.

Wonderful spot, would recommend!

Steve and Jean's place was wonderful! We arrived on a snowy Friday evening to a freshly plowed and sanded driveway. The home is spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The fireplace warms the Livingroom so nicely, which was perfect after a day skiing at Gore (20 minutes away). Steve was extremely communicative and ensured our weekend stay was perfect. Thanks again!

Peaceful setting

My wife and I and our golden retriever spent 5 days at this peaceful Adirondack cabin. It rained most of our first day there, but we found games and puzzles to occupy our time. Enjoyed a trip to the nearby Adirondack Museum and explored many of the hiking trails nearby with our dog. We found the cabin well equipped and cozy. The owner, Steve, was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an Adirondack getaway.

Perfect for two couples

Very nice property and comfortable. Plenty of comfortable sitting (no antiques), good size kitchen, with island, and eating area. Location is great, no traffic or close neighbors. Close to small restaurants and hiking trails. Bathrooms were a good size, clean and modern. Bedrooms were a good size. The following cons can be put up with but if corrected this would be a 5 star stay: One of our party does all of the cooking, his comments: only two wine glasses, no juice glasses, no medium pots, only one big one and one small one. His and his wife's comments on their bedroom: no rod in the closet, no dresser and the bed was very hard. The other bedroom had a squeaky bed. Not really loud, reminded me of an old military spring bed, but the wife definitely mentioned it. There seemed to be an issue with the vent on the fireplace, when the door was closed the fire went out. And the window on the fireplace was very dirty with soot.

This is a lovely home with easy access to the beauty of the Adirondacks. The owner is a wonderful person who made our stay just perfect. Easy to check in and all the ammenities you could ever need.

We only stayed for 2 nights. The owners were great about changing the dates around. The property was clean. Thankfully we went in the summer so going down the gravel private road wasn't an issue. I had missed the note about turning on the hot water heater, but figured it out after a cold shower. I also assumed there would be soap and shampoo, but there was only 1 bottle of 3-in-1.

Tucked away on a private road, but close to the village of Indian Lake with hiking and paddling nearby. The house was roomy, clean, and welcoming. The host was very accommodating and helped with any questions. He even gave us tips on hiking with our pups. We absolutely loved it!!

AOK in EVERY Way!

Property was beautiful, pics do not do it justice. Everything you could need was supplied, and plentiful. The area is absolutely beautiful and to top it all off we were visited by several deer every day.Do not hesitate to stay here, you will not regret it.

Great Winter stay!

My husband, 2 teens and dog had a great stay at Stephen’s home! We skied Gore mountain, which is short and easy drive from the house (20 minutes). We also enjoyed cross country skiing at Garnett Hill (also a short drive). The house was very cozy, clean and well stocked! We were especially thankful for the wood for the fireplace as the temps were in the teens and we woke up daily to snow! The kids enjoyed hanging in the loft area although my daughter loved sleeping in the “log cabin” room. We would love to visit again in the summer to enjoy the nearby lakes and hiking trails. Thank you for a very relaxing weekend and sharing your home!

Cozy Cabin

We had a very enjoyable stay and it was the perfect place for our family to visit and enjoy the days before Christmas together. We were able to enjoy a cozy fire, the water pressure was amazing, the open floor plan was very nice! We all slept very well in comfy beds with soft sheets! We would definitely come back to this cabin again!!
