I liked everything about our stay. Anthony is the perfect host: not imposing but present when needed and offers good advice. Frankly, most hosts are so overly scared of the ratings that they become overbearing and become intrusive just to get 5 stars. Anthony found the right balance between making you feel welcome and give you privacy. Highly recommended!
Tony is the most welcoming and communicative host I’ve ever met
Communication with Tony was excellent from the moment I showed an interest in the property. He met us at the house, gave us a tour of the property, explained how to access community amenities and facilitated the guest passes. Tony was like a human guidebook of the surrounding area. Tony maintained communication throughout our stay, was fast with responses and always positive and upbeat… all of this despite previous renters significantly damage some of his property. Tony’s house is comfortable and welcoming and had all of the supplies we needed for a week long family stay with children.
The area and community are relaxing and there is a lot to do. I feel this is a haven for outdoors enthusiasts and people who just enjoy nature, but the lake offers free use of kayaks, paddle boards and pedal boats. They have playgrounds at the lake and pools. The lake has floating docks for the family to play in and dive off of. The pools are large and very well kept. One pool is geared toward kids with slides and a diving board with a small kids splash area while the other pool is newer, heated and more likely to be a relaxing spot for adults. The ski lodge is utilized as a guest area for small activities in the warm seasons. The market has basic items and a decent deli style food menu. There are many things to do on the property. We are looking forward to returning during the snowboard and ski season.
This is not as amenity packed as Massanutten in Virginia, but is a wonderful destination and close to Lake Wallenpaupack. Tony made the difference with making this a great stay. He is the best host I’ve met, and we have been using VRBO for several rentals.
Tony the host met us there on the first day of our stay. He was very friendly and the house was beautiful inside and out. He left some beverages and food for us to use in the house. He is very easy going and answered any questions we had right away while we were there. The house was not far from the lake and great area. Will definetly go back again. Thanks Tony!!
The owner was fantastic. Nice guy who couldn't do enough for us. The was larger than expected. I could of brought my whole family. We had a great time. I hope to do it again soon
Tony’s house is fantastic. Well appointed, great amenities, and very comfortable. Tony himself was extremely friendly and flexible to our needs. The area is beautiful, with great hiking, swimming, and nature. Deer are everywhere, and we had two young bears frolicking and playing in the backyard in the back a couple times (they kept their distance so no worries about safety). Overall and fantastic experience. Thanks Tony!
Tony was great to work with through the stay. He was very accommodating and super nice! Property was very up to date, would definitely stay here again!!
THE HOME IS IN A GREAT AREA WITH FORESTS AND REMOTE MOUNTAIN FEELING. IT ALSO HAS LOTS OF BEDS. WE WERE EXCITED TO GET THERE AND GETAWAY FROM OUT TOWN. HOWEVER THE HOME WASN'T CLEAN ,WHEN WE GOT THERE WE FOUND THE LINEN WAS DIRTY, WITH HAIR ON IT & STUFF ALL OVER THE PLACE. WE SPOKE TO THE OWNER TONY AND AT FIRST HE WAS SYMPATHETIC AND OFFERED TO REMOVE THE CLEANING FEE AND WE WERE OK WITH THAT. THEN HE HAD TOLD US HE WILL BE CONDITIONING THE RETURN IF WE PLACE A FAVORABLE REVIEW. SO HERE IT IS. WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE REFUND YET

These guests were a nightmare. They lied about the number of guests and exceeded the maximum allowable by my resort resulting in fines whihc were exacaerbated by theier illegally felling a tree on the property. In doing so they broke an axe of mine which was unfortunately only a fraction of the damages. They also drank all the liquer in the house and threw out a lot of my personal itmes which I discovered n the garbage which had not been disposed of as required and was strewn around the property probably by the bears. Some other items were also damaged including a router. I would have refunded the cleaning fee even though I personally supervised the cleaning and sne tt he lady back. Howeve tgiven the damages I uncovered exceeded the fee and the fines more then exceeded the revenue form the rental I explained this to the guests and have not pursued a claim as is my right.
The owner was very generous with our time of stay. The house was spacious with plenty of room for all of us. The beds were extremely comfortable. We all had the best nights sleep. The kitchen was easy to cook in. We cooked every meal during our stay. The scenery and wildlife were wonderful. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a good peasefull vacation.
The owner was at the house to greet us. He was extremely helpful and pleasant. The house is walking distance to the beach. I would stay there again.

Great place for a family with kids. The owner was very helpful in dealing with some unexpected issues. Close to the lake for swimming and fishing. Reasonable drive to other things in the region.

Beautiful home, great location
First I have to say, Tony was very helpful, very accommodating and flexible and it was greatly appreciated.
His home is absolutely beautiful, lovely wood work throughout the home and lovely furniture that gives the home a special touch. Nice size rooms, lots of space in common areas, beautiful living room, nice size dining room with enough seating. Would love to stay again!

great house!
Tony's house is modern and fully stocked with plenty of room. We were a family of 7 and could have had more people. The price is right and Tony doesn't charge a lot of extra fees. The amenities are super. You have to reserve the horseback riding about a week in advance. Our boys took out kayaks and paddle boards and really enjoyed the lake. We also did mini golf. We saw a lot of deer. The deer are somehow not very afraid of people. We actually fed 2 deer from just a few feet away on the property! Tony was also quick to respond to our needs and left us beer and other food in the fridge.(Our only small issues were - we would have liked the ability to rent a family movie of our liking. (there were a few hundred dvds in the house). We did do a wash to make sure we had enough linens and we did need to clean the fridge a little.) Overall great place and we would definitely want to come again!

Overall a good stay but...
Overall we all had a pretty good time, house was nice, and affordable. Only problem was we didn't receive all of our deposit money back because there was apparently hot plate damage to the table, that destroyed the finish. We cleaned after every meal, and cleaned the final morning before leaving and not a single one of us noticed anything out of the ordinary and everyone on the trip would dispute said claim. If there was damage to the table, it wasn't us, nobody was dumb enough to put a burning pot on a wooden table, but we got charged for it.

The house was very nice but one bedroom was unusable
The air had been turned off to the attic bedroom and it was over 80 degrees in that room. We opened the vents, and the doors but even by that evening it was still about 78 degrees. Luckily we had several houses rented in the area and were able to readjust people and move them to a different room. The house itself was very nice, very clean and modern. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to return.
