Come get cozy at our charming 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom split level house near Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island. The house is on a quiet lane that is just a three minute walk down to West beach. We are located near Swan Lake Preserve, 10 minutes to Oak Harbor amenities (grocery/dining), 15 minutes to Deception Pass park or Coupeville.

Enjoy beach access, sauna, patio, fireplaces, a game room, grilling on the back deck with a view of the San Juan Islands, high speed WiFi, and keyless entry.

There is so much to explore near by whether you've been to Whidbey before or if it's your first time. When we visit we make sure to check out new hikes like Rosario Beach, Ebby's Landing, or Joseph Whidbey State Park. You can use the island as a taking off point for all kinds of adventures on Whidbey, nearby Anacortes (and the rest of the San Juans), or even over to the Olympic Peninsula on the Port Townsend-Coupeville ferry near Fort Casey.

Because we're near the water we don't get as cold as other places, but we also don't get as warm. There's no need for air conditioning here, but do make sure to bring extra layers! The beach is fun year round for all ages, and we plan our days to make sure we see the sunset from the beach.

To protect both you and our home, we require a refundable security deposit of $250. This covers any accidental damages beyond normal wear and and tear. VRBO's system will hold this amount, and it's fully refunded to you within 14 days of your departure if no claims are made

Our family stayed here while traveling from out-of-state for a family member's memorial service. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room. The game room was a hit with our grandson!Everything was clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, and we all loved the decor.The host was easy to contact, and very accommodating when we asked if we could check in earlier as family was arriving around noon. We were so grateful for that.We would definitely recommend this property to others.

We're from the Pacific NW. After a life time of exploring the area we're still barely scratching the surface of things to explore! We love hosting locals and travelers who are looking to experience some of the variety that Washington has to offer. When we first came to Whidbey we were instantly enamored with how close it was to amenities while still giving us the peace and quite we missed from city life. A simple walk on the beach any time of day always brings us peace. The morning bird chorus and amazing sunsets help too!

Why they chose this property

The hustle and bustle stops when you start getting close to the house. You leave town, move through the country, and the Strait of San Juan de Fuca fills the GPS screen. It's a quiet neighborhood with great neighbors. I'm pretty sure our blood pressure drops a few points just pulling into the driveway. There's sand underfoot and we haven't even gone to the beach yet. We always schedule sunset on our agenda, and will do sunrise if we can fit it in. Regardless taking the kids down to the beach is always a great way to wear them out and have fun. We close to town so when you realize that you forgot that one ingredient for dinner, it's just a quick trip away.

What makes this property unique

We want our home to be a place for you, your family, and your friends to gather. Some of our favorite memories are getting families together where the kids disappear into the game room while the parents play cards or cook upstairs. Once the kids go to bed, there's the sauna to put a cherry on top of the day.
