quiet property with a good assortment of kayaks/paddleboard. kitchen was well stocked. lot a bit steep getting down to the water, nice fire pit set up.

Lovely little cottage on a beautiful lake. House is perfect for our family, comfortable and relaxing with everything you could need. Entrance to lake is steep but manageable and we had a great time using the kayak and paddle boards. Area is great for day trips but we tend to stay home and enjoy the peaceful setting and lake views.

what a great place, the perfect size with everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. The community center is a bonus that really made our teens happy. The lake was glorious and the dock and jumping platform entertained us for days.

Traveled to Bear Cottage as a family of 4 with 2 children (10 and 9). This was a wholesome wonderful vacation. The house is beautifully situated on a peaceful lake, breakfast to dinner outside on the deck, brand new appliances, furniture, mattress, the house is well maintained and has everything we could need and then some. It’s a 45mn ride to pretty much everything we needed: whale watching in Kennebunk (try First Chance Whale, great crew!), sand beach in Wells Beach, Doles Orchard behind the house to pick up your own fresh fruits. Going back to NYC will be hard, Maine, we will be back and will rent Bear Cottage again in a heartbeat!
