Shell House has 4 bedrooms (3 with Q, 1 with 2T) and 2 full baths, along with an outdoor shower. Open and comfortable with a fully appointed kitchen (including cutlery, cookware, dinnerware, dishwasher, coffee pot, microwave, full size stove and refrigerator/freezer), Cable TV (2), wireless internet, CD player, DVD player, ceiling fans (indoors & out), a screened front porch, covered back porch, roof deck, washer/dryer and gas grill. Recently painted and updated indoors and out, it has all you need for a great vacation at the beach. Departure housekeeping is included for weekly rentals. Bring your flip flops, beach chairs, linens, towels, paper products, cleaning products, and staple items - the Shell House is waiting for you!

Lovely Stay

We really enjoyed our second stay at Shell House. It's a very homey place to relax and enjoy the ocean. I have one comment for the owner.

Good Location, Well Equipped, House was Dirty

In general, we enjoyed our stay at the Shell House, which is well equipped and conveniently located. We were very disappointed to arrive at a dirty house, considering that we were charged an expensive cleaning fee. We spent hours cleaning the house when we arrived. The kitchen counters were dirty; the dishwasher was dirty and contained dirty dishes; the trash cans in all the bathrooms and the kitchen had garbage; there were used coffee grounds in the coffee pot; the refrigerator had partly consumed food and leftovers from previous renters; there was hair and tooth paste residues in the bathroom washbasin; the bed protector of the master bed was torn and the mattress was stained. We worked hard before we left to leave the place as clean as possible for the next guests, because we always endeavor to be good guests and treat each rental as our home, but I believe renting a place that was dirty throughout is unfair, unpleasant, and unsanitary to say the least.

Awesome location and well-stocked kitchen

The communication with owner was fabulous and very fast replies. The location is perfect to get to the sunset beach and the bird sanctuary. The screened in porch was fantastic. Sunrises and sunsets were beautiful. The kitchen is well-stocked and made cooking easy for our family. Our only complaint was the beds and furniture were well worn. Still usable, but not good for older folks.
