This property was amazing. It was so quiet and private, but within 15 to 20 minutes to stores for supplies and great restaurants. Super clean and Beverly (the host) was great, so fast answering any questions we had.
We loved this home. The location is incredible…. A beautiful view of sunsets, sunrises and even the Northern lights while sitting on the front porch. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. It was our privilege to be your guest for the week
We had a wonderful time, and loved both the cottage and the beach! Our daughter especially loved collecting shells on the beach. Beverly is a great host! Highly recommend.

The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves was breathtaking...good for your soul. Beautiful views even from inside the cottage. We would absolutely book this spot again. The sunsets and sun rises were beautiful. The adventure every day of hunting for sea glass was so much fun ! We also met our host Beverly as she wanted to gift us with a beautiful bottle of wine. What a wonderful kind lady.
The beach house had everything we needed and more. First time to Pei. Beverly was a very good host and responded to our questions from start to finish. We enjoyed the privacy and views most of all.

Thank you very much for your review! You are welcome back anytime! You left the cottage in excellent condition and it was a huge help having the bedding and towels and dishes done! Thank you again.
My wife, kids and I stayed here for a week and had a wonderfully relaxing time. It's a great location with amazing ocean views and access to a beautiful beach that we felt like we had to ourselves. Beverly was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. We would gladly stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at this cottage. The ocean was perfect and at the doorstep. Well furnished kitchen. Unfortunately no kitchen/dining table, but everything else was good.

So glad you enjoyed your stay. The table in the kitchen actually opens up on both sides to make it bigger. My apologies, I should have showed you this when I met you. I will be sure to let my other guests know so thank you for letting me know. All the best, Bev
Had such a wonderful time in this adorable cottage. Beautifully decorated, comfortable and the most amazing setting! Will try to come again! Ideal setting.
We stayed for a week and enjoyed every day. The view of the ocean and sunsets were spectacular.
Bev is an attentive host and was very helpful with information about the island. She has a detailed book she has developed with directions about the household to eating places to grocery stores.
Would highly recommend this spot to others.

This beachhouse is perfect. It is cosy, clean, and quiet, with great access to the beach. My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The host, Bev, is very nice - she has thought of everything, and the place is spotless. It was easy to stay in touch with Bev if we had any questions or concerns.
We will definitely be coming back.

We were so happy with the chalet and the location. We were right at the shoreline with incredible views of the ocean. We couldn’t have asked for better. Patrick, it was so nice meeting you and Francine! So sorry you had to cut your vacation short due to the storm, Fiona, which was devastating to my property but my chalet is intact! I hope you will be back again and I will be sure to give you a free night! (I will make a note, but please remind me). Thank you for your lovely review.
Stay well,
Bev
Lovely cottage ‘On the Edge’ of the ocean with beautiful waterfront view. It is a well maintained property outside and spotless inside. The cottage is well equipped with kitchenware, linens, beach towels etc. The host Beverly is always available and very accommodating. It is a great location to tour around PEI. Amazing sunsets and sunrises.

You are invited and welcome back any time. The cottage was left in pristine condition, towels and bedding washed, dishes done and put away, garbage sorted and removed, etc., etc. such a lovely family. I hope you will visit On The Edge again next year. Thank you for the gift. It will have a home forever at the cottage. Bev
This cottage was fantastic! The panoramic view of sunrise, sunset, ocean and beach was stunning. We had great long walks on the quiet beach, found lots of shells and sea glass. The cottage was immaculate and even better than in the photos. The kitchen was spotless and contained everything you could possibly need. We were only 30 mins or less to various restaurants and seafood shacks as well as many other beaches. We will definitely be back in the future. Thanks for everything Bev, you are a great host and communication with you was excellent.

So sorry I didn't respond to this last year! Thank you for such a wonderful review and I'm so happy you made it back again this year! Enjoy your stay and contact me any time if you need anything or have any questions. Bev
My husband and I stayed at Bev’s cottage last year for 2wks. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed 3wks this year. The panoramic view of the water is fantastic, watching sunrises and sunsets that are beautiful. The beach walks are our favourite, you barely see anyone. The cottage is immaculately clean and everything has been thought of. It’s so quiet and peaceful with just the sound of the waves crashing in. It’s a short drive to Charlottetown as well as other beaches.
As well your not far from Richards where they have the best lobster rolls!
Bev’s cottage, appropriately called ‘On The Edge’ is definitely our happy place and we can’t wait to return!

Thank you so much! I look forward to seeing you both again. I'm just responding to these reviews now! LOL Should have done it years ago but they just popped up suddenly!
Beverly is an attentive and wonderful host. She checked in to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we need. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and is well stocked with everything you could need or want during your stay. There is a 2 km bumpy road that leads from the main road to the cottage. It never bothered us at all. We took it slow, and it was well worth the drive as the cottage is a beautiful oceanfront property. There is a solid staircase that leads down to the water where we spent lots of our time. The view is incredible, Beverly is wonderful, the property is fantastic, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. 10/10!

Beverly was very easy to deal with and quick to respond when I had a question. She was kind enough to let us charge our EV at her house and offered us an extension cord if we needed one to connect to the outside outlet. We weren't aware that we had to travel down a dirt road full of potholes for 2.4km and would have brought a different vehicle, if we had known. Her place was bright and I would have given 5 stars for cleanliness, if the fridge had been cleaner. The beds were comfortable, but the Main bedroom bed size was actually a Double/Full, not a Queen size. My husband and I like our space, so a Queen would be the minimum size. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed with our youngest (Thunder storm rolled through one night) and the sofa bed was definitely a Queen. I slept there the next night as well, as it was so hot in the cottage, even with the windows open. Beverly asked us if we minded having the AC installer come one day to install the new AC unit and we gladly said yes. Unfortunatley, it wasn't all hooked up till we left, but the next renters will be very happy it's there. Even with all the windows open, we couldn't cool the place down. The positive is that the sound of the waves were amazing. We were told we'd have access to the beach, which we didn't. The stairs down to the beach were broken, so we had to climb down rocks(8ft-10ft) drop which wasn't safe with our youngest(age 7) and try that with chairs, towels, sand toys, etc. The neighbours staying next door(renters also) came over one afternoon and asked how we were getting down, as they noticed our stairs were broken. They immediately told us to use the stairs at their cottage, which was very thoughtful. It was strange walking through their yard to access them, but we did for the remainder of our stay. The views and beach were beautiful, lots of sandbars to walk on, seashells and seaglass to find and a nice long walk in both directions, which we did at least once a day. On a side note, if you like a dark room to sleep in, this place isn't for you. It would have been nice to have darkening blinds or curtains in the rooms, so you could get a good nights sleep.

Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate the feedback. And thank you for leaving the cottage so well cared for. When I walked in it appeared no one had been there! After several hours of laundry, dusting, scrubbing and yes, cleaning the refrigerator, it was ready for my next guest. It’s normal to spend several hours getting prepared for the next guest no matter how good the last guest left it and once again, thank you for that. As for the refrigerator not being clean, my sincere apologies! It was definitely an oversight and my cleaning person was mortified it was forgotten. I will address a couple of other comments as well.
I never planned to put air conditioning in the cottage but we had such an unusually hot August I decided to install one but I had a problem getting an installer. Then once installed I had an issue getting an electrician. Everyone is super busy here! It’s up and running now!
A storm took out my stairs to the beach and once again I had an issue finding someone to replace them. However, the main access to the beach is just 4 cottages up the road and no steep slopes. And the owner of the cottage beside me had no issues with me using her stairs. I am in the process of having the bank fixed and new stairs installed!
The main bedroom has blinds and curtains and is very dark. The mattress is very expensive and the largest size I could purchase for the antique bed. The loft also has blinds and curtains. The main living area has blinds on all the windows and doors. If the lights are out at night it would be dark. If you need it to be dark during the day I guess curtains or drapes could be an option but it would spoil the look and openness of the area. I will however look into it.
This is the first time I’ve had a complaint about the heat and it’s the first year we had over two weeks straight of hot weather. Normally there is a breeze and given that I have windows on all sides, it cools down in the evenings. I’ve installed the air con so that will take care of it for next year.
Once again thank you for your feedback and I hope you enjoyed your complimentary bottle of wine. Stay safe. Bev
