About the host
Hosted by Maria Siccardi

My husband, Mark, and I have lived in Los Angeles since 1999. We enjoy taking advantage of all the city has to offer. In particular, we spend our free time going to galleries and museums, and concerts at all the amazing local venues like the Hollywood Bowl and the Wiltern. We also love traveling to experience the world's beaty and culture -- so far this year we've been to New Zealand the the Dolomites.

Why they chose this property
We have lived in several neighborhoods in Los Angeles (West Hollywood, Culver City, Long Beach), but we decided to settle down in this neighborhood because it feels like, well, a neighborhood! The homes all have a little more space here, with front and back yards, sidewalks, friendly neighbors, and plenty of people walking and jogging by. Plus, there's ample of street parking, unlike our past neighborhoods.
Despite the peaceful and spacious surroundings, we are only 15-20 minutes from downtown and we are very close to freeways, which is crucial in Los Angeles! Plus, the new metro line is nearby, and we can get to tons of restaurants, museums, galleries, and shopping by bike or by Waymo if we don't feel like driving.
We feel lucky to have found this little pocket in the middle of the city. It's sort of a hidden treasure!

What makes this property unique
This home has soul. Built in the 1930's, It feels like vintage Los Angeles. The Spanish-style architectural details, stained glass, arches, and wrought iron railings are really special. The outdoor spaces, plants, trees, and flowers are a sanctuary in the city. Plus, there are windows galore bringing so much natural light inside. It's cheerful and charming and we love it.
Mark and I looked for over 2 years to find the perfect property, going to open houses every weekend. We knew the moment we walked into this home that it was the best one we could possibly find. After a stressful bidding war it was ours, and we've spent the last 8 years tackling projects to ensure this home lasts another 90 years and brings joy to whoever stays here.
We hope you will enjoy your time here.
