This is a unique property So much history and the cabin was huge and comfortable. We had a great time here with our family. While things are never perfect, we had a minor problem with the pool, but Bubba and Stacey responded quickly and took care of it - they were a wonderful couple and we enjoyed talking with them. If we are in the area again we will definitely consider one of these cabins.
Overall we had a wonderful stay! The house is crazy cool and very big. The pool and covered patio were where we spent most of our time. The long table in the dining room accommodated our group with seats to spare. The couches and beds were comfy. The middle room upstairs is a little warm and the shower is sloped so adults couldn’t shower in that bathroom. When we arrived, the grass was uncut, there were large weeds along the path to the front door and pool. There was a robot pool cleaner which helped but the leaves fell from the surrounding trees multiple times during the day. There was a gas powered blower in the shed which helped to blow the pool area a couple times a day. There was no fire pit which was disappointing. The grill ran out of propane after using it twice and the spare was empty. There were no beach towels for the pool so we had to use bath towels. The house was stocked with toilet paper, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods and Keurig k-pods. We bought pans and cookie sheets because we couldn’t find them. A couple days in…. we found that the cabinet at the end of the island opens and there were numerous pans. The skillets and pots are well used with scrapes. It would have been nice to have plastic wear to take by the pool. There are a lot of pool noodles and blowups in a container by the pool. We enjoyed our stay. The house is eccentric with plenty of room. It just needs a little attention to detail to make it even better.

Great retreat close to Nashville!
Our large family was in town for the Coldplay concert. We wanted a place to rest and play away from the hustle and bustle of Nashville. The manor house was the perfect escape! It had plenty of room for an extended family of 9 to spread out and relax. When we weren’t enjoying downtown (only a 30 minute drive), we were soaking in the clean and well kept pool. Owners weren’t needed, but were very responsive when texting with a question. Air conditioning worked great and saved the day on those hot TN days. Highly recommend.

Historic house with pool
This house is very pretty and well maintained for a historical house. Very time appropriate pieces in the home to make it feel cozy.
We really like firm beds, they were firm and comfortable. The kitchen had all the items we needed to cook with which is not typical of vacation homes so this was a nice surprise.
We loved using the pool and the back outdoor seating area was nice to relax at if you wanted to stay in the shade. The owners were very responsive to emails and got back to us quickly.
Only half of the grill was working, but we did bring our travel blackstone so this was not an issue for us. I did let the owners know this and they said they were in the process of buying new grills which will be a great addition to the back porch area.
All of the main rooms were comfortable, however the room next to the bedroom with 2 queens that is listed as a place for little kids to stay was extremely hot so this did not work out for my grandkids. They just made a "bed" downstairs in one of the sitting areas and this worked perfect for them.
The downstairs bathrooms were great and the one bathroom off the room with bunk beds was great. We didn't really use the bathroom off the 2 queen beds room due to the heat and the tub/shower area is very short with a handheld shower head. The adults were too tall for this so they just shared a bathroom with one of the other couples.
When in the Nashville area with our entire family we will definitely stay here again. We really enjoyed our stay!
