A perfect spot for a quiet getaway to take in all the tranquility of the north woods. This beautiful 1 bed, 1 bath bungalow on Mystery Lake provides ample opportunity to play outdoors and lots of cozy space to lounge the days away.

This one-level open concept cottage has been completely remodeled and is fully stocked for you to enjoy. The single bedroom features a king size bed and smart tv. The full bathroom contains a stackable washer/dryer combo. The bright, airy living area includes a dining area, TV with sitting area, and a cozy corner for reading, relaxing, or taking a cat nap while the lake breeze blows through.

There is even more space to spread out under the large covered patio area. There is a mobile bar top that seats four with a built in cooler so you don't need to leave your seat to refresh your drink. You can grill, get some fresh air, and enjoy a cocktail or cup of coffee no matter the weather. The rocking chairs on the porch provide the best spot to listen for the loons calling on the lake. The large backyard provides ample room for yard games and also has a fire pit overlooking the lake so you can warm up while winding down under the stars.

Venture down to the lake for some ice fishing! In the summer, we provide a 2-person Mitey Toon with electric motor ready for you to enjoy. The cabin also boasts two kayaks, a 3-person canoe and fishing gear for you to use! Please note that Mystery Lake is a no wake lake and does not allow motorized boat traffic, so please respect and enjoy the tranquility.

If you have a need for speed, bring your jet ski or bass boat and head a few minutes down the road to Middle McKenzie or Big McKenzie Lakes. Bring your side by side, ATV, or snowmobile and hop on our extensive network of nearby ATV trails. The Namekagon River and St. Croix Scenic Riverway offer opportunities to paddle or float the day away. There are many local nature trails and areas to hike, bike, cross-country ski or snowshoe. Take up a round of golf at Voyager Village, Fox Run, or Spooner Golf Club. If you prefer indoor activities, it's a short drive to Spooner, Hayward, Webster, Rice Lake, and Siren. These charming local communities offer numerous boutiques, breweries, wineries, antique stores, great restaurants, and local festivals.

We cant say enough about this property. The host was amazingly promte with all communications. They thought of every thing right down to the wonderful cranberry sour dough bread.The king bed was very comfortable and the view of the lake was amazing. ‘The cottage was very clean and had several very nice touches. The setting on the lake is magical with loons and bald eagles providing beautiful sites and sounds. The sound of birds greet you each morning. Truly an authentic north woods get away.

The place was incredible. They provided everything you would need for a stay away from home and more. Perfect lake location. Mini pontoon, better than average canoe, nice kayaks, bikes, outdoor games, fire pit with all the supplies (paper,tinder,wood). We had one problem and the host arrived in 5 minutes to take care of it. I cant think of one thing i would change about our time there at the Lazy Loon!!!

Everything was wonderful from the second we’re exited the car. The cabin is beautiful inside and out. The view was awesome. We spent the majority of our time outside. Perfect getaway

We celebrated our anniversary here and had the best time!! We loved it from the moment we pulled in the driveway. The cabin is even nicer than the pics you see online. Do NOT let having no AC stop you from staying here! It got to at least 90 degrees when we were there and inside the cabin it felt like there was an AC cranked on! We used the grill and the outdoor games in the shed. Tons of firewood to use. You can’t find a place that has a boat, kayaks, and a canoe to use like this! Thank you for a wonderful stay and for the welcome basket. We loved it!

We have been long-time residents of the Spooner area and now have an opportunity to share the north woods with others! Our favorite things about this area are the multitude of outdoor activities at our fingertips - we love fishing, ATVing, kayaking, sitting on the dock, or taking a quiet nature walk. We think "Midwest Nice" is a whole vibe and can't wait to welcome you to the cabin.

Why they chose this property

The cabin is down a quiet, dead end road and located on Mystery Lake. Mystery Lake is a 23-acre lake with a maximum depth of 51 feet. There are abundant largemouth bass and panfish in the lake. We are approximately 17 miles from Spooner. We were able to purchase side-by-side properties and also manage the "Cozy Crappie" next door!
