A VERY private, cozy and relaxing cabin
Windermere at Douglas Lake Resort is an upscale secluded, private and cozy getaway cabin which sleeps 4 .
Cabin is located just 20 minutes from Dollywood / Splash Country Theme park and 25 minutes from The Great Smoky Mountain National Park ( the most visited in the USA )
The resort pool is located within walking distance from the cabin as well as the boat ramp and docks. The walking trail is just on the back side of the property which winds down through the woods with views of the lake.
Wifi through out the cabin, each bedroom has a queen size bed and its own separate bathroom ( shower / tub )
The 4 person hot tub awaits you after a long day of exploring in East Tennessee

This place is awesome. We stayed a nights and enjoyed every minute of it. From having my morning coffee on the deck to us enjoying the hot tub as a family while the steaks were on the grill!! So peaceful and we saw many deer. Very clean. Pool access was great as well and the pool was clean and well maintained. Easy check in and great communication with the host. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We can't wait to return!!

I love how secluded this location was, but was still a quick drive to do whatever you could possibly want. Everything was very clean. The hot tub really made the stay. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had everything we needed. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Hidden deep in the woods tucked neatly in the rolling hills of Tennessee. This beautiful cabin was perfect and just what we needed to unwind. Access to some major attractions made it a best spot to stay. Next time we hope to stay even longer to take in more amenities. Our hosts were amazing providing detailed instructions to make our stay perfect.

My name is Kevin Maas . I am the son of a highy decorated Marine Corps fighter pilot ace in WWII and Korea. I was born in Cherry Point , NC and settled in Fredericksburg, Virginia in the late 1960's. After retiring from the retail corporate world after 38 years, my wife Pip and I decided to invest in one of our favorite places in the entire United States. We both have been coming to this area for years to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains and have met many good friends here in East Tennessee .
We purchased our first cabin' Ambleside of The Smokys '( property # 434610 ) and soon after came upon this new property. Windermere is walking distance from Ambleside ( 300 yards ) which gives the traveller options if they would need to have 2 cabins for larger groups.
My wife Pip who is from the United Kingdom and our two dogs...Sasha & Major enjoy traveling and appreciate value for accomodations. We have provided a very comfortable and relaxing cabin for you to visit, and enjoy.The cabin has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds and 2 full baths. Wood burning fireplace, fully functional kitchen , Wifi through out cabin, as well as HDTV in all rooms 42' in living area, and 22' in bedrooms. ceiling fans in all rooms, 4 person hot tub with privacy blinds on a large wrap around deck, ADT security system, and tastefully decorated........not to mention the amenities that the resort offers : pool, boat ramp, boat docks, walking trail, etc etc

Why they chose this property

This area of East Tennessee offers something for everyone of all ages. Dollywood theme park only 15 miles from cabin as well as the other attractions in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park is the most highly visited National Park in the entire United States, so if you enjoy the great outdoors, you have planned a trip to the right place. The pace of East Tennessee is so relaxing which helps you truly get back to nature and enjoy being with your loved ones .

What makes this property unique

This cabin is VERY secluded , private and cozy. If the weather is nice, sit outside and take in the wooded view that Windermere offers , or if you stay inside there is the wood burning fire place ( firewood NOT provided ) for you to curl up in front of and relax.........and don't forget the hot tub that awaits you during any season !
