Cabin was really cute, but the filth made us uncomfortable. Inside and out it was just dirty. Needs a major deep cleaning and cleaning up outside. He would have a gold mine if he took care of the place. If you enjoy extreme rustic this place is for you. Not for me.

Quaint little place out in the woods. It feels very removed and unplugged.
Enjoyed our stay. As others have mentioned, the outside perimeter could use touching up, but it's in the woods so it's not really outlandish. The only complaint we had was the key didn't work properly and turned the whole mechanism, so the door had to be unlocked from the inside, which meant we had to leave the cabin unlocked while we were out, which is not ideal. We just brought what little valuables we had with us in the car. Overall very cozy and cleaner and accommodating than most older cabins. Would stay again, and very glad recycling was included.
The cabin was amazingly clean despite being in the woods. It was very quiet. The property was beautiful. A simple way to get away from town for a relaxing vacation. The host was very helpful.
This was our 2nd time in 3 yers staying here! Our dog loves it, we spent 4 nights, had beautiful weather, a wonderful way to start of spring break. The area is beautiful, drove up to snake road. Tom is a great hostWe will be back
The cabin is nestled in the woods at the end of a winding road. Very nice and secluded. Tom, our host was warm and welcoming and respectful of our privacy. My only negative comment is that the place could have been a little cleaner. The bedding, towels, cookware and tableware were all clean. The cabin was a bit dusty. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.
Lovely, retro feel, close to campus and town. Wooded property, beautiful views out windows, private deck, wood burning fireplace. Saw an owl! Fishing very nearby but not exactly lakefront. Shower is excellent, kitchen has everything
This was our second weekend at Cabin 3. We love the fireplace, the low key, unobtrusive host, Tom, the quirky vibes, and the woods! Our dogs love being there and Tom doesn’t charge a ton of money for them to stay. The cabin was well equipped and we saw a large barn owl perch for about half an hour just beyond the bedroom window!
We didn’t stay. The host never got back to me about my questions. The outside decks were very dirty and unkept.. no gas grill. The door was unlocked when we got there. There was a brown recluse spider in bathroom sink. The place’s driving up to property were sketchy. In fact I would like my money back. We had to find another place last minute. Would not recommend.
The cabin was as described. We enjoyed our overnight. The only negative is nobodys bed is my bed. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We would definitely consider staying again.
We enjoyed our visit and will likely do it again. Although you feel like you are deep in the woods with no one in eye shot you are minutes away from anything you might need. Because you are in the woods ticks can be a problem. Other than that if you plan on doing much cooking you may want to bring a good sharp knife. Rest of what you need is here. If you forgot something or need trip to grocery store Walmart they are not far. The cabin has a plenty of room for two and is decorated in kind of an eclectic style. There is DVD player, some movies, games including pin ball machine (bring some quarters). Its the kind of place that is just so relaxing. The host is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure you are happy.
