About this property
Mayacamas Retreat, by Vinifera Homes
“The house is spacious, pristine, and screams elegance! Every corner and window is a photo op.”
Tucked away in the Mayacamas Range, this Mediterranean-style escape blends peaceful privacy, vineyard views, and curated outdoor living. Secret gardens, a lap pool, and thoughtfully designed interiors create the perfect setting to relax, reconnect, and soak in the stillness of Wine Country.
THE SPACE
This home blends thoughtful design with soulful calm. Sunlight pours through arched windows and French doors, illuminating natural textures and soft, organic tones. With every detail thoughtfully chosen, Mayacamas Retreat invites guests to slow down and truly arrive—whether you're reading by the window, savoring a meal outdoors, or slipping into the pool after dark.
Step outside and you’re immediately enveloped in nature. Garden paths meander through lavender and olive trees, leading to secret benches and shaded corners perfect for reading or reflection. Whether you're savoring a glass of wine or simply taking in the stillness, every space invites pause and presence.
The pool is the natural gathering point on warm days, surrounded by native landscaping, loungers, and lush gardens with seating for 10. Light up the Sedona gas grill for a long, sun-soaked lunch—or head out after dark for a stargazing swim. The lap pool is solar-heated during the warmer months and sits just outside the primary suite. It’s perfect for a refreshing morning swim—or a spontaneous midnight float.
Inside, the home flows with ease. The chef’s kitchen includes granite countertops, a gas range, and a Wolf convection oven, ideal for those who love to cook and gather. Enjoy casual meals at the kitchen banquette, or share a more formal dinner at the table for eight, with French doors open to the gardens and golden light pouring in.
Each room has been intentionally curated for style and comfort. The primary suite features a remote-controlled king bed, cozy reading nook, and direct access to the pool. Additional sleeping spaces—including a private pool house and bonus rooms—offer flexibility for couples, families, or small groups to spread out and unwind.
“There were many places to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views with a glass of wine.”
This retreat is best suited for guests who appreciate beauty, quiet, and the small luxuries of time well spent. Couples come here to reconnect. Friends come to celebrate milestones. Families come to slow down. The entire property is designed to help you feel grounded, unhurried, and inspired.
The surrounding Mayacamas Range enhances the sense of escape. With no visible neighbors, you can read, nap, or swim in complete privacy—yet you're only 16 minutes from the charming town of Glen Ellen and nearby favorites like Kunde Family Winery, St. Francis, and Matanzas Creek.
If you're visiting during harvest season, the scent of ripening grapes drifts in from the valley—an experience unique to this part of Wine Country. In spring, the gardens burst with wildflowers. And in every season, the landscape offers a rhythm that’s both grounding and alive.
Even if you never leave the property, you’ll find plenty to do. Lounge in the sun, share meals under the trees, play ping-pong in the garage, or simply watch the sky change colors. Here, the pace is slower—and the memories are richer for it.
Mayacamas Retreat isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to fully arrive. Book your stay and experience a slower, more intentional side of Sonoma.
“Fantastic rental! We had a wonderful stay here. It’s very remote and private, incredibly peaceful... you feel off the grid.”
