About the host

Host profile image
I’m a professional dog trainer passionate about helping families build stronger, more joyful connections with their dogs. Over the years, it’s been incredibly rewarding to witness the positive transformations that happen when understanding and communication replace frustration and confusion. With the opportunity to extend this mission beyond training sessions, I’m honored to have created a dog-centric retreat at our beautiful house nestled in nature. It’s a space where families can truly relax, recharge, and enjoy quality time together—with their dogs right by their side.

Why they chose this property

The house is perfectly situated to enjoy the best of the Hudson Valley and Catskills region. Just minutes from the heart of Saugerties, guests can explore charming shops, local eateries, the historic lighthouse, and scenic walks along the Esopus Creek. A short drive brings you to iconic towns like Woodstock and Hudson, each offering their own mix of art, music, and culture. For outdoor lovers, the Catskill Mountains are close by, offering beautiful hiking trails, waterfalls, and skiing in the winter. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat in nature or a base to explore the region’s rich offerings, this location truly has it all.

What makes this property unique

One of the things I love most about this house is its peaceful, private setting. Tucked away at the end of a quiet private road and nestled atop a gentle hill, it feels like my own secret retreat from the world. Spanning 4.83 acres, this land is my sanctuary—where I breathe deeply, listen to birdsong, and feel grounded in nature. It brings me such joy to share this experience: watching dogs sprint through open fields, savoring morning coffee beneath the trees, or stargazing in perfect stillness.
