The place was beautiful, the beach was heavenly. Unfortunately, the pool was turbid and green with a brown suspension that multiple visits by the maintenance teams could not fix. The doctors in our group refused to go into the pool at all. That put a real damper on the afternoon activities.

The property was really great, right on the beach. The house is very well designed with a large open living area with a whole wall of sliding doors that open to the pool area. We had very few bugs during our stay and felt comfortable with the doors open all day. Getting to the house could be a challenge but if you have a high clearance vehicle it was no problem, the final 30km or so were on a dirt road that was rough at times, but no issues if you take it slow. The town of Playa San Miguel is very undeveloped, there are a couple of restaurants and a small market. If you are coming from Liberia , I would recommend stopping at the grocery stores in Nicoya on your way to the houseI would highly recommend taking a surf lesson with Eddy at Surf School San Miguel, he was super friendly and really made our whole trip more enjoyable.
