Located in the walkout basement of our primary home; Relax at Ridgeview is a recently renovated, private apartment that boasts 1 inviting bedroom with a cozy king bed. The living room offers an additional queen sized pull out couch for extra guests or children. (A twin sized air mattress is also available per guests’ request) The apartment is located about a mile West of Custer town limits and backs to the beautiful Black Hills National Forest. We are within 20 -30 min of lots of great Black Hills attractions including Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, Wind and Jewel Cave and many more. Following your adventures; guests can unwind on the private patio by the warmth of a fire backing to National Forest with views of meadows, forest, stars, deer and turkey. Amenities include: propane fire pit and grill, WiFi, AC, smart TVs, FREE Custer State Park Pass and many more. Fall in love with Custer and the beauty of the Black Hills while relaxing at Ridgeview.

The apt has a septic system, therefore please do not dispose of any sanitary products/wipes of any kind in the toilet. Only use the paper provided.
Please enjoy the backyard and patio on the entrance side of the yard only. The other side is ours for personal use.
Use of the zip line, treehouse, playground and all of our personal property on the privacy wall side of the yard is prohibited.

Family Summer Trip

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The apartment was extremely clean, quiet and peaceful. It was nice to be able to sit out on the back patio at night and use the grill and gas fire pit. The party lights added to the ambience. The owners were very responsive.

We love the Black Hills and all they have to offer. Our favorite part about hosting is allowing guests a home base to relax at after they have finished exploring the Black Hills. We hope our guests fall in love with the Black Hills as much as we have!

Why they chose this property

We are located at the end of a road and our property backs to the Black Hills National Forest. We have two acres of beautiful meadow/mountain/forest views. Our favorite part of our property is the peaceful quiet area that is still within 20-30 min of all the fun the Black Hills has to offer. We enjoy sitting by the fire at night and looking at the stars, as well as drinking coffee in the morning and watching the local wildlife (deer, turkey etc.).

What makes this property unique

Our property offers guests a full living experience that most properties in our area don’t provide. Also, most places in Custer are apartments attached to other renters who may or may not be as courteous as we try to be for our guests. The apartment is very clean and updated. We are always finding ways to update the property for our guests. The best part of our property is the quiet and relaxing setting (not off a highway or in town) and it is still close to the main Black Hills attractions. Our property gives guests an idea of how locals live while enjoying the peace and beauty of The Black Hills.
