Welcome to "Family Tides" at Gentle Winds!

Our condo is renovated and fresh! It boasts a beautiful kitchen, updated bathrooms, furniture, and fresh linens & decor.

Gentle Winds is situated on the scenic North Shore of St. Croix in the sunny U.S. Virgin Islands, where the weather is great year round.

Come and enjoy the laid back Cruzan lifestyle in our spacious 3 bedroom /3 bath end unit condo with a fabulous beachfront location!



Main floor:
- Fully equipped kitchen for all your meal prep needs
- Dining table seats 4 plus 2 additional bar stools at breakfast bar
- Open concept living area for comfortable lounging accompanied by a wonderful ocean breeze
- 42' flatscreen TV with Direct TV HD satellite and Roku for streaming all your favorite shows!
- Bluetooth speaker to play your best beach playlists
- Each unit boasts private Wi-Fi and there is also public Wi-Fi throughout the property
- Porch off living area with table and seating for 4 to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the waves roll onto the beach
- Enjoy your favorite beverage - hot or cold, right in unit with our Ninja brewing system
- Ocean view bedroom with queen bed and private bathroom with stall shower
- Mountain view bedroom with two twin beds and private bathroom with shower/tub
- Luxurious linens throughout including bath and beach towels
- In-unit stackable washer and dryer
- New central Air - 2020 (although not usually necessary with the ocean breeze) as well as ceiling fans in all rooms

Second floor:
- Sweeping spiral staircase brings you to the open loft area with a mountain view balcony. The loft offers a relaxing sleeper sofa and desk area
- Master suite with queen bed, 20' flat screen TV:
En suite bathroom with a shower/tub and a private balcony facing the ocean with two lounge chairs


Gentle Winds offers on-site amenities including a saltwater pool and tiki style sun shades on the beach for relaxing on the lounge chairs. The 'Sunny Shack' Beach Bar offers casual fare and island-inspired drinks (don't forget your reusable Yeti cups from the condo!). Gentle Winds is known to have one of the best diving spots on the island. Snorkel right off the beach and view the amazing sea life. Ping-Pong, Shuffleboard and Cornhole are just a few activities right on the beach. Ditch your dinner reservations one night and have a beachside barbeque on the patio off the great room (gas grills)! Outside the water, there is a three hole golf course with putting green (bring your own clubs), a basketball Court, and two tennis courts - one lined for pickleball! (racquets in the condo) at the beginning of palm tree lined entranceway.

The condo is a perfect fit for couples travelling together as well as families. Gentle Winds is truly a relaxing vacation spot!

Family Tides has an excellent layout for families-3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. The location of Gentle Winds is central on the island and makes it easy to get to events on the east or west side. The washer and dryer were outstanding and made me actually want to replace mine personal set at home! The pool/beach towels were large and thick-great for all our activities. The grounds are walkable and everyone is friendly. The Sunny Shack has delicious snacks and tropical drinks to enjoy every afternoon. We had a wonderful stay.

The property is absolutely amazing! Very clean and well maintained throughout the entire place. The amenities inside the condo were very helpful and eased our stay. A very quiet and peaceful getaway for our family of 5. We enjoyed sunrises and sunsets by the beach and relaxing by the pool. The food and drinks at the sunny shack completed everything we needed during our stay. Very affordable and tasty food and drinks to enjoy. We very much enjoyed our stay and definitely would come back in a heartbeat.

The complex was grest. We enjoyed tbe pool as well as tbe beach. We ate almost everyday at the beach shack and it was pretty good. The conso was exactly as described and was very well stocked. We like the complex so much that we would consider buying in the complex.

All-Inclusive Family Fun Condo!

My husband and I visit St. Croix every year to visit our niece and her young family. This is our 1st time to stay at Gentle Winds, and "Family Tides" was perfect! It was roomy, clean and inviting for lots of family fun, including toys, games, puzzles, movie watching, etc.; the kitchen was well equipped & stocked; the bedrooms were comfy & great for accommodating several sleepovers with our 2 little grand nephews; and the pool/beach area with its snack shack was fabulous!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Family Tides. The condo was clean and well appointed, fully stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. It had everything our family with three children under 5 needed to enjoy our vacation worry free (including plenty of beach towels, beach bags, toys, sunscreens, etc.). Beautiful views from every room! Gentle Winds complex is very well maintained with beautiful settings of the beach and the pool. It was very quiet and peaceful during our stay and we almost always had the beach to ourselves.

We have stayed at Gentle Winds before in this very floor plan. The host has done an excellent job with updates in this unit. There was ample seating and sleeping for our group, and places for everyone to gather as well as places to disappear for a quiet recharge. We would surely recommend this property and stay here again.

Beautiful vacation place!

The codo has everything you need and is situated on the most beautiful beach! So peaceful and there is always a gentle breeze blowing. Everything went well, no issues at all! Recommend to anyone. But do rent a car because everything on the island is at least a 20 min drive. Great experience.

We absolutely loved our stay. The condo is great - 3 bedrooms and baths with a nice balcony. The view is gorgeous, and we absolutely loved the pool and beach. It is so relaxing. The condo is very well stocked; we had everything that we needed and more! It is also nice that it belongs to a family, and they have added personal touches (makes it seem like home!). The owner was super helpful and responsive and even provided good recommendations for activities and restaurants. We can’t wait to return!!

Wonderful Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time at Family Tides. The condo was beautiful, so clean and very well stocked. From sunscreen to cooler bags to Yeti cups to toys. The owner and the housekeeper were very attentive if needed. Quiet time to go which was what we were looking for. The Tiki Hut was open and staff so friendly with great drinks and food. Pool and ocean right in front of the condo! So sad we had to leave and are planning on returning! Highly recommend!

Gentle Winds vacation

Gentle winds is in a perfect location on the North shore. The view from the condo is quite beautiful and the constant breezes make for a very comfortable stay. Marianne provides every amenity you’ll need during your stay including sun screen and lotions. I can tell you that her restaurant recommendations were top notch; we tried all the ones on the north shore; all were excellent. The welcome letter is very detailed and quite helpful. You’ll love the clean pool and bar. Sure glad We found this property on VBRO
