A large house in a nice, quiet neighborhood. Located in the Magnolia subdivision, it's just minutes to bustling downtown sights including the Seattle Center, Space Needle, Pike's Market, Capitol Hill, Pioneer Square, various concert venues, and the stadiums for Mariners and Seahawks games. It's also just across the bridge to Ballard, filled with local microbreweries and endless dining options. The driveway holds 2 cars, and there's ample free parking in the street.
The house is fully equipped with cable TV including movie and music channels, a large open living space with air conditioning and a pool table, ceiling fans in the bedrooms, bidet toilets, a backyard deck with natural gas BBQ, a great view from the upstairs balcony, and is stocked with Seattle's Best coffee to get your day started.
Guests have access to the entire house and will gain access via a touch-pad lock on the front door, so there's no keys to transfer or lose. The master bedroom closet, walk-in pantry, and garage are closed off to store personal items. In general, you won't see me. But I will typically stay in the local Seattle area when renting the house, so I'm just a phone call away if you need anything.
For a quiet break from the action, check out the Magnolia Village on McGraw Street. It's our little "downtown" in Magnolia with a few shops and restaurants. For a similar feel, but a bit larger, check out the top of Queen Anne.
A bus stop is just down the street, and Uber drivers are always available within 5 minutes.

The host, Doug, was most welcoming. He left us great info, plus little extras like Seattle chocolates and bottled water for our day trips. The house is immaculate and has luxury amenities we appreciated. Like many of the houses in the Magnolia neighborhood, it has a staircase up to the front door but handrails and solar lights make it easier to use in the dark.
This home is immaculate and spacious! Great for a stay to catch-up with fiends and enjoy seattle! Close and conveniently situated in the Magnolia area and downtown.Doug was very helpful and easy to contact if needed. We would definitely stay here again in so lucky in the future!
We are in the process of moving and our family had the pleasure of staying in this fun and spacious home in Magnolia. There was plenty of room for our family of 6 plus our beloved doodle. Doug was extremely responsive to ensure we had everything that we needed and understood how various things operated. We stay in a lot of vacation rentals and I feel pretty confident this was the best stocked place we have ever stayed. Highly recommend staying here and would gladly stay again!
This was a wonderful home base for our large family for our son’s wedding held on Lake Union. Douglas left extra amenities that were greatly appreciated. Highly recommend!
Great location in walking distance to parks. The owner had everything set up to make the rental easy and even gave us a case of water in the fridge (or we stole his water, either way it was much appreciated).

Thanks for the nice review Mark! And no worries about the water... everybody gets a case in the fridge! Glad you enjoyed the stay!
House was absolutely perfect!! Our family of 10 were in total comfort. Large open concept of kitchen and family room. House was spotless and the owner Doug was incredibly accommodating (letting us arrive early since we were all flying in from Southern California). Would highly recommend to families or several couples wanting a getaway to a fun city! House is a very short drive to downtown (10 minutes tops). And downtown Magnolia is quaint and charming.
This spacious home is immaculate, beautifully maintained and well equipped with every amenity you might need. We enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with our adult daughters and their husbands. The large well appointed kitchen, large family room with fireplace and dining room table for ten made it easy to cook and spend time together.
Doug is kind and very responsive. Upon arrival we found a baby gift for our expectant daughter and some local chocolates. You couldn't ask for a better host!

Wow! Awesome place and a great stay!
We loved Doug's beautiful house so much pre-Alaskan cruise that we stayed again post-cruise while in Seattle. The house is cozy, well-appointed, well-stocked, and spacious -- plenty of room to spread out with our party of 10. The kids (and adults) enjoyed the pool table and the back deck. Great value - and soooo much better than a hotel! We enjoyed a couple of walks to the Ballard Locks and
Fisherman's Terminal. The teenagers even rented Lime bikes at the bottom of the hill -- had a blast riding around the city! Doug is responsive, easy to get ahold of, even texted us about upcoming events -- including the Blue Angel flyovers -- awesome! (Note, the outside stairs could be a little challenging for those with mobility issues, but our my 84 year old parents did fine with them.) We loved, Doug's house, highly recommend it and will be back! Thanks, Doug!

Carolyn and company were amazing guests!! They communicated so much, every step of the way!! They loved the place, experienced the place, and all Seattle has to offer. They took such good care of everything, and offered advice on how to improve a couple of things... already done!! Thanks again for staying and come back any time!!
Pictures don't do this home justice. The construction is pretty and new. The interior/exterior finishes are attractive. The house was loaded with extras, potpourri and bedets in each bathroom, well equipped kitchen, famous seattle chocolates and coffee waiting for the guests, and premium television channels to watch the Seahawks games ;)
The house can get nice and cold, even when it's warm outside. Different zoned AC's throughout work great.
The pool table was the center of a lot of fun activity with our family, as well as the large sofas, kitchen, and big screen tv. The outdoors and green belt out back were a peaceful sanctuary.
You'll love the location in Magnolia, an easy walk to Discovery park or around the block to another small park.
Doug, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. Very easy going and prompt in his responses.
Can't say enough nice things about the experience, we would highly recommend this rental to anyone.

Alan and his family crew were amazing guests! This one turned out to be a last-minute booking, due to an issue resulting in cancellation of a different rental property. Still, the communication was quick, thorough, and succinct from the beginning, leading up to the arrival date, and throughout the rental period. Upon my return, the place looked perfect, as Alan and his entire family treated it as they would their own. I was so pleased to have them as guests, and would recommend them to any vacation rental host!
From the first communication with Doug, we knew this would be a special place. We had 8 adults, a 2 month old and a dog, and never felt like we were on top of each other; the house is spacious, with enough room for a crowd. The kitchen was outfitted with everything a chef could ask for and prepared many meals, including our Christmas feast! The pool table was an added bonus and fueled the competitive spirit in everyone.
Doug was very responsive to all messages while we were in his house, including the one asking about snow shovels. We were not expecting so much snow in Seattle!
It's the little touches that really set Doug art from the crowd. Arriving to a case of cold water, ice, and chocolate after a cross country flight was an added surprise. The bathrooms were filled with soap, shampoo, lotions, shower caps, etc. He left a house full of paper products, towels, dish cloths, laundry soap, anything you would ever need.
Our family stayed in this house for 3 weeks while the floors and ceilings were being redone in our house on an insurance claim.
We very much enjoyed the stay. The hosts are kind and responsive. We liked the location due the the quiet street with very nice/friendly neighbors. We thoroughly enjoyed walking to cafe Appassionato (a classic Seattle coffee house!) And walking through multiple patches of healthy forest to access the park and walk to Met Market for treats.
The house itself was stocked with all the amenities you'd need and then some. We found extra cozy blankets in the closet upstairs and brought them down for watching movies in the living room. The kids had fun playing pool every day. There are Japanese bidet toilets throughout the whole house. The beds were very comfortable, and there is AC upstairs (rare in Seattle!)
There is a nice deck with a water view facing east on the top level and then a large deck at the back of the house with a shady tree canopy for grilling and eating outside. The landscaping is nicely maintained.
Would definitely recommend this house for large families, or groups of people traveling together. Magnolia is convenient to downtown Seattle, and very close to the cruise ship terminals which would make this house ideal for groups gathering before or after their cruise.
Had a great time in Magnolia. Plenty to do nearby and tourist spots in Seattle all within 20 min drive. Beautiful well kept home. Exactly as advertised with outstanding communication. Thank you.
This home was prefect for our extended family ages 69 - 2. I've stayed in lots of VRBO's and this was the best stocked kitchen that I've seen. There was lots of room for the 9 of us, and Doug was fantastic to work with.
Booked this gorgeous home for my bridal party to stay at for my wedding weekend - it was the perfect home. Not only were the bedrooms spacious and clean, and the kitchen had mood lighting which made for fun evenings, we took advantage of the stunning backyard and balcony, pool table, and office for getting ready shots of the groomsmen. When one of my bridesmaids misplaced some personal items, Doug was quick to help. Truly a wonderful host and we hope to have the opportunity/ excuse to stay at this awesome property again in the future!
We really enjoyed our stay -- the property is well stocked and clean. Anything we needed in the kitchen was available. The table on the back patio is great for enjoying meals outside. The property is also in a great location. It is a short walk to Lawton Park and Discovery Park and also a short walk to Fisherman's Terminal to enjoy a meal. We would definitely want to rent this property again if we are visiting in the future.
The property was just as advertised and was perfect for our family of 10. We really didn't have any problems, but when we had a couple of minor issues, Doug was quick to take care of them. We particularly appreciated the attention to detail in the bathrooms and kitchen, there was nothing we needed that wasn't there. There was plenty of space and the outdoor deck was great for grilling and sitting. Doug is obviously well organized and left very specific instructions, so there were no issues about the house and how everything works. We would love to visit this house again when we are in the Seattle. Overall, a great week with our family.
Immensely enjoyed our house in Lawton Park Magnolia area! The place was well appointed and easily accommodated our group of 8 adults. Loved our location which was convenient to just about everything we wanted to do. Thanks to Doug our host for making everything so easy for us.
Really can’t say enough nice things about the house and our host. Communications were great and fast from first contact through checkout. Check-in was a snap. The house is truly set up for serious cooking. Plenty of quality cookware, casseroles, baking pans, etc. and any electric appliance you might need. A smoothly operating 5 burner stove and double ovens. The beds were all comfortable. The whole house was immaculate including the bathrooms. The linens were of excellent quality, in good shape and obviously clean. In short the next time my family gathers in Seattle we will speak out this house.

Kenny and his crew were excellent guests! Awesome communication every step of the way, and the place looked perfect upon their departure. I would highly recommend Kenny to book with anyone!
The house and host was amazing! The house was stocked with everything we needed from cleaning supplies, to toiletries and food and drink essentials prior to our arrival. Douglas was very attentive to all of our needs. The neighborhood was central to most of our outings and was extremely quiet. Highly recommend this property! Thank you again Doug.
Though the photos in the listing are nice, they don't capture all the personality of the property. The property is beautiful inside and out!.. and CLEAN! From the detailed "house information sheet" to lots of complimentary "comforts of home" that made our stay special, easy and worry free. Doug is a great host. I sent a couple of emails where he replied promptly.
Doug, thanks again for your hospitality. Looking forward to staying with you again.
