The house was clean and ready for our stay when we arrived. The host was available and responsive when there was an issue with plumbing. The washer and dryer were used by all four guests and worked great! All in all, we had a wonderful time in this lovely home.

The first few days we had no heat. The host did her best to resolve the problem. The fourth day in we had an issue with squirrels and or other critters in the attic. She did send pest control to trap, but did not make any attempt to fix any entry spots they were getting in. I was told that there were at least three spots that they could be getting in. I did cancel my last 10 days at the house which I was refunded. Between the no heat, listening to the blower motor run 24/7, critter in the attic, dead ones leaving a nasty smell in the house I was really expecting more of a refund. Hopefully with me leaving early she was able to fix all of the problems for the next guess. I’m sure she did her best, but ……

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m very sorry that your stay was impacted by a series of unexpected maintenance issues. Providing a comfortable experience for my guests is extremely important to me, and situations like this are certainly not typical for our home. When the heating issue was reported, I immediately worked with a technician to address the problem as quickly as possible. Unfortunately, shortly afterward, an unexpected wildlife issue in the attic occurred. Pest control was sent promptly to set traps and assess the situation, and additional preventative work has since been arranged to seal any potential entry points and ensure the issue does not happen again. I completely understand how frustrating it must have felt to experience these issues back-to-back. For that reason, I approved the cancellation of the remaining 10 nights and provided a refund for those unused days so you could make alternative arrangements if needed. As a host, I take great pride in maintaining the property and responding quickly when issues arise. This was certainly an unusual situation, and I have since taken additional steps with maintenance and pest professionals to ensure everything is fully resolved for future guests. Thank you again for your feedback, and I wish you safe and enjoyable travels moving forward.
