The apartment was completed in 2016, so it's just like new, and it's kept super-tidy and comfortable for guests. The apartment is: 1 mile from the Texas Capitol Building, 1.3 miles from Paramount Theatre, less than 2 miles from the University of Texas, 2 miles to Zilker Park, 2 miles to the Convention Center and close to many other downtown attractions. Wonderful place!

We loved our stay in this cute, clean, recently renovated apartment, it has everything you need! We walked to ACL concert with short distance to Zilker Park. Clean, safe, easy to get to diners for breakfast. 100% recommend this as your stay in Austin!

Great location and excellent communication with host!

We stayed here for ACL Music Fest. It was a great location. Ted was very helpful with communication and the place was clean and comfortable.

Quiet clean and all you need

Once the place was chosen Communication easy - good A/C- TV- kitchen- if u cook during holiday - v nice place V quick return of deposit Nothing bad to say at all

My wife and I bought restored the main house and built the garage and apartment in 2011. We have three kids who all enjoy traveling and more often than not we prefer to stay in vacation rentals over hotels. So we feel like we have a pretty good idea of what we've liked and didn't like. We love Austin and love sharing it with friends and guests.

Why they chose this property

I first moved to the Old West Austin Neighborhood in 1997 and have been here ever since. We had outgrown another house three blocks away, and when this property went on the market, we jumped at the chance to buy it. It's one of the larger lots in the neighborhood which has allowed us to build the carport and apartment as a secondary source of income.

What makes this property unique

This location is amazing because it is close it is to downtown (the Capitol Building is one mile away!) yet it still feels quiet and secluded -- especially in the garage apartment. We love this neighborhood with all its charming bungalows, walkable streets, nearby restaurants, and our elementary school just a 10 minute walk away.
