Elkpoint Townhome 8 - Ski in/Ski Out - Best Location / Slope views

Our 2,950 square foot, 5 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom end unit townhome (Unit 8) is one of the few true ski in/ski out properties at Purgatory Resort built right on the slopes and just a short walk/ski to the 6 Pack Ski Lift, the Main Plaza and the Durango Mountain Club.

The gourmet kitchen has granite counter tops and includes a bar with seating and opens to the main living space and dining area, giving you plenty of space to relax with family and friends. The master bedroom has a gas fireplace while the bathroom has a jacuzzi tub. The townhome has 2 sets of washers/dryers, high speed WIFI and an attached 1 car garage that has plenty of storage room for gear with an additional parking space in front of the garage. Additional vehicles can be parked in the upper ski lot for free.

The 4% resort fee included in the quote is the required resort fee that must be charged and does not allow access to the Durango Mountain Club. For an additional (and optional) 4% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango Mountain Club which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub and workout facility. When booking, just advise if you would like us to add the additional 4% resort fee.

The townhome is not pet friendly - Please do not bring pets.

Please note that, like most properties at Purgatory, this home does not have AC, as it is uncommon for homes at this elevation. Temperatures inside the property are easily managed by using fans and opening the windows at night when temperatures drop into the 40s.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Summer weekend away

Had a great stay at this property. The lodge was clean, spacious, and well stocked. The beds were a little firm for my taste, but that's personal preference. It's a short walk to the resort pool which was nice since we had kids with us. The owner was easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again.

Purgatory easy access skiing

Another great visit to this home. The home is well stocked and maintained. The location is fantastic for very easy access to skiing. The owners are friendly and very responsive with assistance. We've stayed here three times and expect to return for more visits.

Overall great place. The main floor does not have access out to ground level without jumping off the back of the deck (about 36 inches).

Beautiful Property!!!

Convenience is all I need to say... Just a short walk and you’re on the lifts!!!! We had three small families in our group and there was more than enough room for everyone. The property was very clean and well appointed. If there was anything we needed the owner, Jason and property manager, Kyle were very quick to respond. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks guys for an amazing trip!!!!! 😁

Great location!

All was beautiful! Kitchen was well furnished! And had coffee creamer by carnation… lol.. Animals that came to meet and greet … we fun and and on Wednesday carloads went different ways … while we stayed back! Watched TV the sound system was the greatest! And Kyle stopped by to do something on the lower floor… but we hit him with the fix it list of little things! Got the fireplace going before the cool rain and thunderstorm! But the ice maker and water dispenser on the refrigerator was not working … Kyle thinks it needed a board… maybe he said mother board …, electronics are great but not when they decide not to work! Bosch appliances… really nice! Everything was very comfortable and nice to have a playpen and chair for baby… 9 months old! Teens stayed in the lower room… Cousins playing together… age less than 1 to 27! Cooking turned out great! I think anyone who chose this property would be happy with their stay!

Magnificent ski in/ ski out vacation home

Wow!!! No detail was missed in this beautiful mid century modern ski chalet. Our group consisted of 2 families (total 4 adults and 3 kids 5yo and younger). There was ample space in the townhome for each family to enjoy a master bedroom with an accompanying kids bedroom on separate floors. This added a feeling a privacy despite staying in the same rental. In addition, the kids enjoyed their own “playroom” downstairs stocked with games, books, toys, and Netflix. Besides the beautiful accommodation, the home is directly in the slopes which was unbelievably convenient when skiing with young kids. After a day of skiing, the best reward was skiing directly up to this exquisitely comfortable home and enjoying the gas fireplace while watching the other skiers close out their day. Lastly, I will say that I have never stayed in a rental home as well appointed as this home. They are stocked with top of the line cookware and all of the accompaniments you need to feel at home in the kitchen. We cooked every meal in the townhome and were able to find everything we needed from spices to condiments. I would highly recommend this home to anyone wanting an upscale and comfortable vacation on the mountain!!! Cannot wait to rent again next year.. thank you Jason!!!

True ski in ski out for family

We have rented “ski in ski outs” for years and years. But we get to those places and there is always walking or even driving involved. This place was above the 6 man chair. So we put our skis on at the porch and skied down to the lift. The cabin allowed for a totally different dynamic. No more early morning hassle trying to get a good parking spot, no more long lines for lunch, everyone was headquartered at the cabin with a relaxed come and go attitude and it provided much more quality family time. Very clean. Good kitchen with good utensils. Friendly owner/manager.

We have stayed in this townhouse several times. As the property description states, it is one of the best located ski-in/ski-out condos available at any mountain. The owner is always helpful and friendly and the condo is well stocked.

Awesome location

This house was awesome! We had 13 people, 6 adults and 7 kids. House was spacious. Comfortable. Well stocked. Kyle, the property manager was responsive and helpful. The ski in/ski out was excellent- walk right out the back door and a few (small, uphill) steps to the slopes. There is a slight walk (less than 5 minutes) to the ski school, but very easy and manageable. After skiing (and before!), the kids played in the backyard in the snow for hours- sledding, building snowmen, digging holes. The hot tub is in the main lodge, about a 3 minute walk away. I was worried it would be crowded, but we never had a hard time finding space, even with 5 or 6 of us. Would definitely recommend this house and will be staying here again!

A fantastic unit! Exactly as the write up describes, we came with 6 adults and 4 kids ages 3 - 10 and our needs were met with flying colors! It was spacious and well stocked and decorated. Great access to skiing and use of the pool and gym. Highly recommend..
