Hidden Paradise Among Tropical Landscape on Lakefront Property on Siesta Key

This is a one bedroom one bathroom unit furnished with king-size bed in the private bedroom and roll-a-ways available on request for the living room accommodating up to four persons. The living room is furnished with a TV with HD programing. The kitchen is equipped with 4-burner gas cooktop, refrigerator, and convection oven/microwave among other small kitchen appliances. just outside your unit there is a small deck furnished with two chairs to sit out and possibly enjoy a coffee on a cool morning before hitting the beaches.

Siesta Heron Suites & Villas offers a swimming pool great for cooling off in the heat of the summer but also heated during the winter months for year round enjoyment. There are several grills in the grilling area of the property just off of the bank of Herron Lagoon. Plenty of lounge chairs and seating around the pool and large deck area for sun bathing lakeside.

Siesta Heron is located just under 10 minutes from the following. Under 1 mile to the nearest beach which is Turtle Beach, 1.5 miles to the nearest restaurants and shops, 3 miles to Siesta Key's main public beach, and 4 miles to Siesta Key Village. The island offers many options of free ride services (tips only) to take you around the island.

Just over the bridge back onto the mainland you will find a myriad of additional restaurant, shopping, and entertainment options.

Great location

Great location, great property. We would definitely stay there again! The only thing is there was no coffee just cream they provided and no shampoo just one small bar of soap.

Nice clean place but...

Providing only 1 roll of toilet paper, no tissue and 1 trash bag for the week is just being cheap. Otherwise, it's a really nice place to stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was very clean and had nice features, bed slept well. Kitchen was well supplied. It would have been helpful to add more towels and washrags in the bathroom. The only the problem was the AC was very poor and we had trouble keeping cool especially in the bedroom @ night. There was a musty smell @ times. We appreciated that John was helpful when we had TV and internet issues when we first arrived.

Siesta Key

Pictures of location were not accurate. Should have straight on picture of place with door view. Has no good view. Main window faces parking lot and few trees, outdoor patio set by door. Can’t look out kitchen window to back. Nothing to see there. Whole building we stayed in was rectangle shape which looked like a hotel design. The property had 2 units facing bay. 2 units faced swimming pool which was not kept clean from leaves. Actual place was ok but had probably half the amount of supplies used to seeing from other vacation stays we have been in. 1 bar of soap for bathroom. 1 roll of TP. 1 roll of paper towels. Shower head is way to high up in shower. It was nice to have a couple beach towels. Beach was probably 20 minute walk away.

Thanks for staying. “Should have straight on picture of place with door view”. Yes, this is the second and third pictures on the listing. Correct, you can not see through a frosted glass kitchen window as pictured in the listing. “Whole building was a rectangle shape…” yes, as shown in the second picture. “Main window looks out to the tropical landscape and outdoor patio” 100% correct and exactly as pictured. The unit is stocked with a starter amount of consumable items. 1 bar of hand soup, 1 toilet paper roll, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 body wash, 1 dish soap, 1 paper towel roll should be more than adequate for a 1 - 3 night stay.

First of all the online pictures are not accurate- Unit 3 looked nothing like this. Room was musty. Humidifier was loud and blew hot air. Air conditiuoner (in ceiling) tough to use and basically ineffective. Pool was filthy. T-Mobile phone service said OUT OF AREA and did not connect. Management was very unresponsive and generally rude. Coffee maker was leaking.

Love when guests say the pictures are not accurate, completely disavows the rest of the review. Yes, the unit is exactly the same as in the pictures. Yes, the sofa sleeper in the living area has been replaced so it is different than in the picture, just way more comfortable because its brand new! There is NO "humidifier". When directions are followed, the a/c gets the room to 65 degrees if you want it. Guests choice of phone service has no place in the review of a property. I tend to prioritize guests who follow directions and have a respect for ones property. Unfortunately this guest had neither though they never contacted us during their stay probably because their poor choice of cell service didn't allow them to make any calls ;-). Again, coffee maker leaked because the directions to the brand new Keurig were not followed. You can not put ground coffee in the water reservoir of a Keurig! I would be irate too if I had T-Maybe as a cell service. None-the-less, this property is the highest rated property on Siesta Key on Booking dot com, we get 4-5 out of 5 stars from every guest that chooses to stay at this unique tranquil lakeside paradise on Siesta Siesta Key and It is our pleasure to make it such.

Our Siesta Key Getaway

Awesome stay. Perfect location to get around the island. Bike, scooters, tram, etc. Everything is in close proximity. We used the free tram (tips welcome) to get to both beaches( turtle/siesta ) with no trouble. Paddle boarding for $25 for 2 hours. You can take the boards to the secluded beach only reachable by water. We didn’t go on Siesta Beach because it was super packed during the July 4th week but Turtle beach is definitely where you wanna be. Never over crowded. You can actually see the bottom and if you bring googles you will find all kinds of shells on the beach. Top thing for us would have to be the jet skis. We really enjoyed them. Overall the area is perfect for a relaxed getaway. It’s family friendly but unless you plan on keeping your kids on the beach, there wasn’t much for the kids to do. This is perfect for two adults looking to getaway without the tourist rush.

We had a great time!

The only real issue we had was the communication site wasn't automatically updating, so I had to call property management and took a few tries to get our check in code. Other than that it was a cute place for my husband and I! The pool was nice and the deck over looking the lake was beautiful also.

We never spoke to anyone, all the information needed is in the app which is convenient. The AC didn't seem to keep the bedroom as cool as we'd like but the living room area was nice and cool. Overall a nice stay!

Convenient location. Away from a busier part of Siesta Key but still close enough (by car, bike or free trolley) to everything. Loved free new laundry and complimentary bikes, kayaks and beach chairs/umbrellas. The host was very responsive and laid back and accommodated our request for a late checkout. Overall a very pleasant stay!

Our daughters and nieces had the time of their lives with the canal in The Kayaks that the kids can't stop talking about it. They all can't wait till next summer to do it all over again. We absolutely just love the cottages and all the fun we have there every time we go stay there for our annual family vacation.
