The house is adorable and area was very quiet. Our teenagers really enjoyed the morning walk seeing all kinds of animals. We enjoyed our stay very much.

About the host
Hosted by Sara Salam
hi! I'm born and raised in CA and have traveled up and down the state. I found Paso Robles in 2021 while on a wine tasting trip during the peak of the pandemic. I knoew this would be a special place for me. In 2023, on a trip with my dog, I found the property that would become Wild Hearts Hollow. I love being outside, amongst the wildlife and the oaks, wandering the backroads and pouring wine in a tasting room down the street part time. I work remotely and travel often. I am a wanderer who likes to build things and go on adventures.
Why they chose this property
This property represents true country living. There are more animals than humans, and the humans are so kind. The night sky is magic. You feel worlds away and yet are a quick 15 minute drive into downtown Paso Robles, recently voted the best town square in the country.
What makes this property unique
Wild Hearts Hollow is a newly renovated 3 bed 2 bath single family home in the countryside of east Paso in the community of Ground Squirrel Hollow. Built in 1986, this property was renovated in 2023 as an ode to adventure. The owner designed the home with the spirit of bringing the outdoors in. It's one story with a yard and is dog friendly. If you’re looking for a quiet place in the country that’s 15 minutes from town and close to wineries, this place is worth checking out.
This 1500+ square foot home is newly renovated with a brand new kitchen, flooring, paint, furniture, and other details. The common areas of the kitchen and living room are open concept, with barstool seating at the kitchen island and an art-like light installation on the faces of the island facing the living areas. There is a dining room table that seats six, and a breakfast nook overlooking the backyard for two. The primary suite has a slider to the backyard and a "secret closet" behind sliding bookcases.
The home is hardwood except the master, which is carpet. The primary bath has a “jungle glam” vibe - open shower with rain head and soaking tub. The shared bath has a shower/tub combo. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are on the east side of the home, and one bedroom is on the west side. In-unit washer/dryer can be found on the west side of the home, along with desk space with monitor for those who need an office set-up.
The backyard is a full acre with great views ideal for a relaxing afternoon. Watch the sunset from a seating area overlooking the west hills. The back half of the area is not accessible so please be mindful of the signs. The neighborhood consists of similar 1-acre farmhouse-style homes.
Many folks have animals, including horses, chickens, sheep, goats – there are even llamas a few doors down! This home represents true country living.
