Great Stay

Perfect house. Everything worked as you’d hope. Easy and upscale in every way. Access to Mauna Kea and Hapuna resorts was well worth it for us for the relatively quiet beach access.

Slice of heaven

My family and I had a wonderful time at this property, it was clean, it has everything you need, rooms were spacious, beds were very comfy. We love to cook and loved that the kitchen was large and stocked with everything needed. We really enjoyed the outdoor space, the pool and spa were wonderful, plenty of beach toys as well. Donna was a pleasure to coordinate with, very responsive, we would definitely come back and stay here again!

Great Property!

We had a lovely 8 day stay at this villa and thoroughly enjoyed the pool, view and accommodations. It’s also great to be able to use the two hotels and their beaches just down the hill. Would definitely stay here again! Donna was an excellent host as well!

Excellent Escape!

Wonderful home nestled in the hillside. Excellent pool-side sunset view. Loved that the house didn't face the golf course. Appreciated abundance of towels, decently appointed kitchen and comfy furniture. Bedrooms also offered excellent privacy. Fabulous communication from host. Location meant a fair amount of driving for activities and food, but we know this going in and didn't mind. Made a great basecamp for all of our outings. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Hawaiian Sunsets

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Waiulaula Villa. The house was just as advertised - spacious, well-furnished, great outdoor spaces and located in a peaceful community. We especially enjoyed the pool, spa and outdoor kitchen. The striking sunsets each evening added to the ambience!

Annual Trip

We go to the Big Island every year for the last 15 years and always rent a home. This was the most well appointed home in the Wai'ula'ula community that we have stayed in over the years. We will definitely be coming back and hope to stay here again!

Excellent stay!

We just spent a week at the villa and it was everything we had hoped for. The property is immaculate. The location is great with several shopping areas within 15 minutes. The lanai and pool make for a perfect gathering spot. This is a must stay property.

Fabulous Stay

We had a great stay in this well appointed home. In addition to the pool at the house, the amenity center has a nice pool and decent gym within walking distance from the property. This unit was absolutely perfect for our needs.

A little piece of paradise

Gorgeous, peaceful stay

We loved this home! It is gorgeous, spacious, and a short drive to two of the most beautiful beaches on the island. We took advantage of the resort access and really enjoyed using those facilities. Donna was so easy to work with and made our stay even easier with her quick and helpful communication. We are already talking about booking it again!

Relaxing getaway

This home was a wonderful vacation spot for my family when visiting the Big Island. When we weren't exploring the beaches or volcanos, I particularly enjoyed reading on the lanai. The house was well equipped with everything we could need - from cooking equipment to home supplies. I'd definitely go back again.

Huge, beautiful, comfortable

The villa is huge and lovely. The pool and hot tub are small but great. One of the nicest grill setups anywhere. Lanai was beautiful. Outdoor shower was amazing. Access to the two resorts was expensive but lovely to have. My family had an amazing time!

Perfect for family travel

We’ve stayed in the Wai’ula’ula community before and this house was wonderful! Well equipped, clean, and the ocean views are beautiful. Bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, and having our own pool and hot tub was such a bonus. It was also nice having smart tv’s for quieter evenings. Easy to get to and from the Mauna Kea, and purchasing the resort privileges was absolutely worth it!

Spectacular Property

This is a spectacular property. It exceeded every expectation and is exceptionally well-equipped. It is ideally located to reach every major Big Island site. We chose to forego the resort membership and we’re glad we did. We were on the move every day. Also, all the resorts allow limited parking and beach access on their properties, so you can enjoy a resort beach with an early start to your day. This home’s neighborhood also has a stunning pool and credible gym just a 5-minute walk away.

Great house for families!

We have stayed in several houses in the Hapuna / Mauna Kea communities. This was the best house! The layout is great with two large suites. A third suite has two double beds, so perfect for kids to stay together and have their own bathroom. Kitchen and great room layout really accommodate multiple people cooking and eating at once. It has a nice smaller sized pool and hot tub and then the larger, community pool is just a 5 minute walk from the house. We will definitely book this home again! Mahalo for a great experience!

The perfect week!

We are returning guests to this property and already can’t wait to come back! First stay was just my husband and I, second included our 1 year old son and my parents. Everything was just perfect, it felt like a luxury vacation but with all of the comforts of home (especially important having a 1 year old!) combination of resort access plus ease of renting a home was perfect for a family vacation. We are already planning our next trip back and are so thankful. Double master is perfect for 2 couples, my little one slept so well in his comfy room in a pack and play. What an incredible week!

Wonderful place for a family

The unit is laid out great for a couple of families to stay together. The rooms are huuuge, each bedroom has an en suite bath, and finishes are high-end. The small pool at the unit is perfect for young kids. We also enjoyed having the options of the community pool (about a 10min walk or 2min drive) and the two hotel beaches+pools (~5min drive). Resort amenity includes complementary valet, so process of popping down to the hotels to swim or eat breakfast was super quick and easy. I wish there was a grocery or market nearby, but otherwise it was just about perfect. Highly recommended.

Felt like home

A very beutiful property that has all the amenities needed for a fun stay. The property has the necessaties you would find in your own home from cooking utensils to iPhone chargers. I would strongly recommend leveraging the properties at Mauna Kea as they are two of the nicest beaches on the island. It was great to break up the days we spent at the beach and used the pool in the afternoons. The villa is on one of the best locations in all of the Big Island as you are close to many great restaurants at Mauna Lani, Manua Kea, Waikoloa and The Fairmont. Donna was responsive and also available to answer questions during our stay. A great quiet and comfortable stay!!!

Fantastic Home!!!!

The house was great! Fully stocked, great views, perfect location and a wonderfully designed house and interior. We love the Mauna Kea Resort and took full use of it every day. Little breezy this time of year but the evenings were perfect! Only suggestion is that the fan for the BBQ does not clear out the smoke from our cooking very well. Left a thick layer of smoke on the lanai as we cooked. Donna was great, as always! Quick responses and cheerful demeanor!

Wonderful!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. Although the erupting volcano caused “Vog” to take away our sunny days (and sunsets) we still had a wonderful time. The disappearing doors were amazing. It was as if the whole living area was outside. The outside lanai was comfortable and inviting. The outdoor BBQ was a delight to use. The splash pool was great to cool off, the clubhouse pool was large and beautiful. Having access to the resort beaches and pools made everyday an adventure (extra charge for resort privileges... but worth it!). The bedroom and bathrooms were amazing, and the beds lived up to their comfy reviews on here. Our group used the exercise rooms, pools, beaches, golf course and restaurants... everything was A+. I would highly recommend this villa.
