Great house with a view from every seat inside and out. It felt like anything you might need was there if you looked a bit. Kids loved the kayaks and fishing. We enjoyed the fire pit down next to the river. Bring your bikes for the trail!
Location was awesome. Views of the lake spectacular. Community the house was in was very quiet, we stayed in late April. Property had what we needed. There is a small hill to move things in and out of the house, not wheelchair accessible and anyone with mobility issues will need assistance. We would stay again.
We enjoyed this beautiful cottage right on the lake. Very peaceful and relaxing trip and the host provided everything that anyone could possibly need for their stay. Awesome place to get away for a bit.

Thanks for the kind words! We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and would love to host you again.
Cozy place, well-stocked with a nice water view. If you’re looking for a quiet getaway and a place to enjoy some water activities, definitely worth considering. Check-in was a breeze. Not too many dining options nearby aside from a “Cracker Barrel-like” restaurant (The Merc) and an ice cream shop, so you may want to consider bringing some groceries for making some home cooked meals. Otherwise most food options are about 20 mins drive away. Did some fishing from the small, private dock but didn’t have any luck ….maybe next time. Master bed used a memory foam style pad and rooms are temperature controlled by mini split wall mounted/ductless AC and Heat units. Would visit again especially if the fish are biting.
Really enjoyed our stay at this quaint little cottage on Claytor Lake. It was very well equipped with everything you could need. The town was really close and Thee Draper Village was enjoyable. Make sure to visit Spinning Jenny Vineyard for the tasty wine and beautiful views. This was a girls trip but I will definitely plan another with the family. The host responded quickly to all my questions.
My husband and I, along with our dog, had a lovely time at the Cozy Cottage! The early-May springtime weather was fantastic! We fished and fished. I caught a Sunny! We saw plenty of Bass jumping but never got one. We saw two Otters (one big one and one baby one), Eagle, Great Blue Heron, Baltimore Oriole, Blue Bird, Scarlet Tanager and Indigo Bunting, plus a ton of deer. Amazing wildlife in a very quiet neighborhood (dead-end street)! We visited Great Wilderness Brewing Company in Pulaski with our dog, and it was super. We had a delicious meal at the Merc Cafe. We definitely recommend eating there. I loved my iced coffee from The Conery and my husband loved his ice cream. The screened porch was a tad dirty but otherwise the interior was clean and tidy. The cottage was well supplied with everything that we needed. We enjoyed the fire pit multiple evenings. The hosts were kind and easy to work with. We recommend staying at the Cozy Cottage for a wonderful lake front experience.
Cozy feeling to the cabin..beautiful, peaceful setting on the lake. We saw deer walking through the yard! So amazing! Will definitely return for another stay. We hosted a family cookout for about 12 people, and one family member requested information and interest about property for his own famiky getaway. The hist was always prompt about answering all questions we had. Really enjoyed our stay
The cabin is on a beautiful, peaceful lake near the small town of Draper. In Draper, there is a wonderful bike/ walking path and people can rent bikes. We walked the trail and mostly enjoyed the cottage with our friends, taking turns cooking in a well stocked kitchen. There is a really nice deck overlooking the lake and a screened in porch on the side of the house. A couple homes had some neighbors at home, but I think a lot of the homes around the lake might be used for vacation homes. The home was pet friendly and the owners of the cottage have some kayaks available for their guests.
