Easy walk to center of entertainment. Unique quiet Old Town location. Large covered outdoor entertaining area with bar and TV facing south for prevailing ocean breeze. Additional attached living area in apartment to get away. Completely restored with modern amenities, high ceilings and well appointed rooms. This home is built at ground level with only two steps to entry. An additional private porch off of master bedroom. Each bedroom has queen bed. There are two additional pull out beds for three people. There is an outdoor shower and good sized yard. Yard has been “de-burred”!!!

This home is normally reserved by the owner's family and friends but made available to intermittently to guest groups of up to eight people. If you are looking for a mix of quiet and easy access, this home is a 9.9 on the walk-ability scale.
 
There is off street parking to accommodate 4 cars.

Our getaway

Our stay was wonderful , the weather played tricks but didn't interfere just made it interesting. The area is quiet and away from traffic yet accessible to everything. The home itself was beautifully decorated, lots of room both inside and outside for entertaining. We enjoyed every minute spent there and hope to be able to return and enjoy it again. Everything was perfect! Stayed with my 4 adult children 12yo and husband for a vacation. They got the big house and we relaxed peacefully in the cottage. Spent so much time hanging out in the community area outside. My Yorkie Penny loved the backyard. It was clean and nothing for her to get into. We didn't need anything while we were there, besidesour own food and snacks. Had plenty of extra bug spray, toiletries, whateverlittle things you vould think of you might have forgot at home. Perfect spot on the island to access whatever you need while visiting but still quiet and private. Thank you for everything!

Wonderful Weekend

Truly enjoyed this property. We had the main house to ourselves while our sons were staying at the detached cottage. Both buildings were spotless and nicely decorated. Lots of personal touches. You can tell that owners use the property as well. If we go back to Port A , we would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for families or group of friends.

We loved our stay. We traveled with grandparents so the minimal stairs for entrance was great and a hard to find feature in the area. The large fenced backyard is a plus for dogs. The location was excellent and the house was well stocked with everything we needed and then some. They even had extra beach towels and chairs. I wasn’t provided with a passcode for entry ahead of time but their response was quick and didn’t delay us gaining entry. We will definitely book again if it’s available when we return next summer.

Perfect month get away!

When we were looking for a place to rent for a month we wanted somewhere that would be comfortable for us and our family/friends that would be coming to visit. This place was perfect! Everyone who came to stay with us or Island friends who popped by for drinks on the Patio loved it as much as we did. The home/cottage were both clean, neat and well maintained. Mike/Debbie and Tom are wonderful to rent from as well. They checked on us several times to ensure our visit was going well and always responded quickly when we’d send a text with a question. The kitchen is well appointed with many staples needed to cook your fresh Seafood. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well stocked. The Patio is it’s own vacation get away with a Bar, TV and Smoker/Grill. Many hours were spent out there relaxing reading, listening to music and enjoying a cold beverage while grilling. Majority of the restaurants on the island are within walking distance of the house and the beach is so close you can hear the waves crashing on the shore. Perfect home, perfect location, wonderful host. Thank you for sharing your lovely slice of paradise with us!

Great place to stay!

This place is great, it’s located in such a perfect area. Close to the beach and shops. It’s extremely clean and has everything you need, even down to the beach towels, which thank goodness because we forgot ours. It’s a nice quiet street. Our little Lucy even barked at a couple neighbors, she’s not use to the quiet where we live. Lol I loved the neighborhood, we got our run in every morning. The little house next door, it gave our son and his wife their privacy. Mike’s place will not disappoint for sure. We are already making our family plans for next year, and hopefully we can stay here again. Janie Gatlin and family.

We truly liked and enjoyed the property. Plenty of room, especially with the garage being converted into a studio like space. The back patio area, with TV, bar counter, and sitting area was a big plus. Very well furnished and decorated. Close to beach, stores, restaurants, and other tourist sites. Owner was accessible and friendly. We will surely keep this property in mind when we return to Port Aransan.

I almost don't want to review because I want to keep this gem a secret! Easiest rental process ever. SPoke with one owner on the phone a couple times and met the other owner in person on our last day. They were very accommodating (pun intended). This property was perfect for our trip - beautiful house, great location for what we like, and that patio. Oh my, we did NOT want to go home on Saturday! We will definitely be back for another stay.

Can't wait to go back

When we saw the pictures, we knew it was going to be a great spot. We've typically stayed further from town, and I won't make that mistake again. Even with COVID going on, the house was perfect to hang out in the mornings, afternoons, and into the night. Great spot to entertain out back, and the cottage is nice as the night goes longer to keep it down for the neighbors. The house was in great condition with all updated bathrooms and amenities you can think of. We are definitely coming back and staying here!

Great stay in Port Aransas

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this great property in Port Aransas. The home is in the middle of many things to do; close to restaurants and a short golf cart ride to the beach but it's also in a quiet neighborhood allowing us to really enjoy sitting on the front porch as well as the back covered patio. The home is beautifully decorated and remodeled and was extremely clean and well cared for. It has everything you need for a great stay! We would definitely recommend it and certainly would rent again. Thanks for your hospitality!

It had all the necessities and even extra little things to make our stay perfect. The patio was excellent and so inviting. We are hoping to stay here again in the summer.

Why they chose this property

This house is on a really great street away from all of the crazy rentals further south. It is in a more quiet and secure area nestled behind the UT property on the North end of the beach. For a combination of quiet and walking access to entertainment it can’t be beat. A truly unique and historical property.

What makes this property unique

You can leave the golf cart behind and walk to dinner. This property built on two lots and sits at ground level on a high area of the island.
