Bishop Creek Cabin, located in the Driftless region of Wisconsin in Vernon County, is an outdoor lover's paradise. Imagine a cabin, nestled into a hillside over-looking a spectacular river valley with large bluffs in every direction. This cozy Amish crafted cabin that was built in 2006 has been fully updated with new appliances, beds, bedding, bathroom and utilities. Located across the road, within 180 feet of Bishop Creek, a Class I Trout Stream, and ¾ of a mile from the West Fork Kickapoo River, one of Wisconsin's top 5 trout streams, makes this property the ideal location to catch the trout of a lifetime! In the mornings and evenings you can see the trout rising to the latest hatch. A variety of wildlife including whitetail deer, turkeys, and wood ducks are often viewed from the front porch. The cabin features a full kitchen, bathroom with walk-in shower, living room, and loft with sleeping areas. All of these great features make Bishop Creek Cabin your perfect Southwest Wisconsin getaway!

We totally loved our stay at the Creek. The cabin was perfect! It was clean, neat and stocked with everything you could possibly want or need for your stay. Evan and Jennifer both grew up in Wisconsin and met while in college at UW-La Crosse. There, they both fell in love with the bluffs and hills of Southwest Wisconsin. Shortly after getting married, they traveled Europe where they first discovered the brilliance of room and house rentals. They loved meeting locals and staying off the “beaten path.”

Why they chose this property

Evan and Jen purchased the property in July of 2017 after many trips back and forth to the Driftless Region in search of the perfect land they could enjoy as a family. After viewing the little Amish cabin and taking a couple strolls through the woods, they knew it was the idyllic location for sweet little family getaways. They appreciate all the great things the area has to offer such as hiking, canoeing the Kickapoo River, fishing, antiquing, great restaurants, organic farming, and harvest season festivities.

What makes this property unique

A setting like no other! Enjoying the coziness of our cabin while being able to witness nature at its best is priceless! Sitting on the deck is so relaxing, seeing the eagles soar over the cabin, and listening to the bubbling of Bishop Branch while having picnics is a true escape from reality and a tiny home away from home.
