Required County STR Permit Information
Placer County | STR25-9355 | Max Occupancy is 12 | 5 Parking Spaces. Parking on the street is strictly prohibited. All vehicles must be parked in the driveway and/or garage at all times. Placer County's Good Neighbor Policies
Cherry Lodge is a one of a kind, spectacular mountain home gently resting amongst 2.38 private acres and situated at the base of forest service land. As a result, this stunning, luxury vacation rental property offers peace and privacy as one of its hallmark features. With a highly sought west shore address and access to the Tahoe Swiss Village HOA, (with two shared piers, beach and a buoy rental opportunity), Cherry Lodge is the ideal family retreat. The kids will love exploring the tree lined permiter, soaking in the swim spa, and watching their favorite movie outdoors, at night, under the cozy, electric heaters on the deck. What a treat! The adults will relish the ability to comfortably drink their morning coffee on 1,400 square feet of decking and actually hear birds chirping and the wind whistling. At night, outdoor dining with cocktails and lively conversation on the patio by the fire pit is holiday necessity.
The methodical detail put into every decision is evident from the moment one enters. Cherry Lodge boasts an abundance of unique features, such as a hanging staircase made out of forged steel, the use of reclaimed wood throughout the home from the original Tahoe Tavern pier, a 20-foot stone, floor-to-ceiling, double-sided fireplace centered in the great room, hand-scraped hickory flooring, oversized/tall counters in kitchen and bathrooms, a steam room and more. A pair of striking steel chandeliers forged by Steve Lopes, one of the best blacksmiths in the country, hang from the 26-foot crest of the ceiling in the living area. The home itself is truly a work of art. Interior design choices from the beautiful bedroom wallpaper and bathroom walls to the expansive transition room demonstrate the attention to detail that was invested in outfitting the home. Radiant heat, air conditioning, air purifying system, sauna room, and heated stairs / driveway are the finishing touches to ensure life at Cherry Lodge is as luxurious as can be.
Cherry Lodge contains over 5,600 square feet with three levels, five bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms. This home was constructed in a fashion that allows it to boast very specific features, one of which is sure to appeal to everyone in the group. For example, for those needing to work while they play, a dedicated office space is available on the entry level away from the hustle and bustle of the great room. The expansive primary suite is the only bedroom on the entry level providing a nice respite from the activities occuring in the loft / kids' bedroom upstairs and the excitement brewing in the family room with its large sofa, TV, second laundry room and three addtional bedooms downstairs. The kitchen area is an absolute entertainer's dream with a TV to follow your favorite cooking show while prepping for the evening buffet! A butler's pantry makes the storing and prepping of a multitude of culinary delights possible while two sinks, a Wolf range with 6 burners / double oven / griddle, large stainless steel refrigerator is luxury itself. The center island is ideal for friends wanting to sample appetizers while you cook with seating for 6. Lastly, the bar is outfitted for those who take tending seriously with a backdrop of gorgeous stone and steel with masculine, custom bar stools. The cherry on the top!
Everyone is going to be clammering to join at the spectacular Cherry Lodge!

Winter Driving
Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. You may find valuable winter driving tips from the CHP here: https://bit.ly/3IKiY7n
Summer Patio Furniture
Patio furniture is available for your use during summer months only. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment.
Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife.
