I was super uncomfortable. The host lived there. I did not see that in the disclosure. He kept calling my phone. Wanted to know if I was pulling up when I was pulling up who I was pulling up with when I put in my stay I was coming by myself it was Incredibly cold downstairs. He had to bring me a heater downstairs and it was just like weird awkward he made the whole stay awkward because I did not know that he was staying upstairs the whole time if he would’ve had shared apartment or something like that, then I would understand, but I did not know that And then when I ask for him to cancel when he called me and asked when I was going to pull up. He told me he couldn’t cancel so I could book somewhere else when it said on my end that I had to contact the host so he could cancel and I had to stay in insurance so I could get my money back and it was just it was awkward for my stay and me spending my time out in Maryland, where I was at for my birthday

Response from VrboOwner on 25 March 2026
- This is a guest suite and it's clearly in the description of the property. My family and I live upstairs. - VRBO actually told me to call you since you did not acknowledge of my house rules / no response on the app. that's why I called - I have to check and let you know, unregistered guests are not allowed - My hospitality , offering space heaters if it gets too cold is seen as a positive move, sorry if that was "weird" to you. - If you want to cancel - you certainly can, but asking me to cancel , to get a full refund , is just not considerate.
